That's true, my GM stays mum if the player isn't named Forsberg.

I don't think the Sens can offer the best package. We shall see.

Fine, just whine too much when the Hossa & Senators or Hossa & Bruins kill the Canadians in the playoffs. That's what you have to keep in mind, too. If, you don't make a good offer, don't be surprised to see Hossa on a division rival.

Oh yeah, that whole gag works vice versa (Hossa & Habs) as well.

Do you have your life support machine standing by when Hossa is traded to a team for a lot less than half of its active lineup? Just trying to keep you sane and well...

on one hand, I've been annoyed by this type of rumor ever since it was announced that Hossa could be going to Montreal(the false press conferences, etc etc)

On the other hand, I don't want him to go to Anaheim, SJ or Detroit...so...I guess I can root for this to happen

Didn't knew that, for example Higgins, Emelin and 1st make up half of the Canadians active lineup. I'm sane and well enough to realize that Higgins isn't one of two roster players on the Habs.

Isn't this the same paper that reported Briere to Habs on July 1st?

The Thrashers are in Montreal next tuesday just after the trade deadline. Maybe Gainey just want to make sure he can play on that night if a trade happens the same day?

Well you bring up a good point, Hossa, Alfie, Speeza, Heatly & Senators is a load.
On the other hand Hossa & Bruins, MEH, theres no fear there. The Habs have had trouble with the Sens and the Devils this year but as you know the playoffs are a whole new season.

No, but you get the idea.

Streit is no slouch. Ryder has sucked this year....but I can see GM's coveting him as a rebound player. Not saying this is enough...but I don't think it's far-fetched as a basis for a deal.

Regardless, I think our team is in good shape even without Hossa. Adding a player like that puts us at a different level though. That's for sure.

which was correct until Briere changed his mind at the last second, it's been well documented.

Please don't take this as a shot at you, but man, do opinions change in only a couple of months!
