Trade Huet

Let me just ask you guys this one question.. Is huet in our future?

How much better is Price than Huet, better, equal, worse?

Is Huet going to be the guy to win us a Stanley Cup?

Why not get something for him while we can?

What an atrocious display of goaltending, That type of tending doesn't win Stanley Cups and personally, I'm more comfortable with Price in net.

Yep, GM's are salivating over Huet.

Center Ice is just in Montreal right...?

How short sighted we are. As in, forgetting the last game.

Huet has one more year as a Hab before Carey is awesome. Right now, they are equal

If this is the consensus.. trading him makes sense.

Let Price steal the job before even contemplating trading Huet. Even then, you want goaltending depth down the stretch and in the playoffs.

Great another of the usual Trade Huet threads after we lose. I don't want to fall into your trap and start debating over this again, because it leads nowhere, so i'll just do this:

What an atrocious display of being a fan.

You are a total joke. This team really doesn't need fans like you.

In fact, no team needs fans like you.

I don't think anyone at this point can say that Price is ready to carry the load.

The problem is the Huet doesn't seem to be able to do it either. I wouldn't trade him now because we're still trying to make it to the playoffs and i think it gives the wrong message when you trade your "number 1" (I use that term loosely, because Huet hasn't played like a number 1 since Ovechkin's 4 goal game in Wash.).

However, I'm starting to not care if we don't resign him. That's a potential 4 million that could be better spent somewhere else.

Neither is ready to carry on their own...

The team is going good...There is absolutely no reason to trade one of our goalies...and having Huet around for a couple more years is a good insurance policy until Price peaks...

Although tonight's effort in goal was somewhat lackluster, it doesn't merit running the guy outta town; it merits having him ride the pine next game

I wish we could just sticky a "whiney *****" thread and people like the OP can go there and whine like a seven year old girl with a skinned knee.

These "fans" are pathetic.

Price will be 100 times better then Huet and I feel he is "at least" at par with him now. Montreal will be lucky to win a round with Huet in net. No offense to the guy but he just don't have it.
Montreal should go with Price next game and let him ride for awhile, even if he loses one.
If Price plays the playoffs and loses in the first round, oh well, just chalk it up as experience because Huet wouldn't win anyways. They should go with the goalie who will be with the club next year. Huet won't be. He will accept more money to play elsewhere, and I don't blame him because this will be the only time he will have the opportunity to make big $$$. Habs won't give him what he wants to only be a backup.

Sorry, just a frustrated habs fan venting on a slumping goalie...

Wow some people need to think before they post. The Koivu/Higgins/Huet bashing after every loss are ridiculous.

As for several people saying Price is clearly better than Huet...compare the stats.

Huet: 38 games, 21 wins, 2 shutouts, 2.49 GAA, 0.918 SV%

Price: 25 games, 12 wins, 1 shutout, 2.82 GAA, 0.910SV%

Huet is better in every aspect....and judging from the amount of wins, the Habs tend to play better infront of him. I realize stats don't tell the whole story, but just look at what Huet did for us in the month of January. Have you forgotten that already? Tonight was one game!!

A sticky whiney thread is actually a good idea.

As Jeffonfire said, bipolar fans. That's exactly what you get from them, no more, no less.
