With a win tonight, the Predators would move into 5th place over San Jose for the night.

Also, not to give any credit whatsoever to the paper, but...there is a $10 off coupon for tickets to tonight's game in the Tennessean today. I'm not sure of the details, but I would assume it is for club and/or lower bowl tickets only.

Well, out of necessity it sounds like, more than showcasing. It could work both ways though.

Or is Zanon being traded? That would be a shocker.

He'd be a good replacement for Eaton (knee surgery) in Pittsburgh and we did see Tom Fitzgerald scouting the Preds/Hawks game last week...although certainly no Predator played well in that game...

I thought Zanon was one of the better d-men in the Wild game. He wouldn't have been my guess at healthy scratch- Suter or Hamhuis perhaps?

Jesus Christ people get off of the "sit Hamhuis" thing. He is our best d-man right now. So what if he makes one turn over a game on a break out. How many does he lead successfully? How many times does he actually make something out of nothing when many many MANY d-men in the league would just throw the puck around the boards and essentially give the puck back to the other team???

Everyone likes to act like this is the "smarter board" yet there is the same silly "watch the puck" analysts here making these foolish statements.

Same for Suter. It appears that Suter has become the new whipping boy for most in Pred-land (see NP.com boards).

I'll readily agree that Hamhuis has not continued to develop on the same initial curve, but he is definitely a no. 2 defenseman on any team in this league.

-----

Who else - JP Dumont putting it in!

To take that one step farther I would say our young defense is really starting to come of age now that Weber is back in the fold. I think they are the reason that we have earned the most points in the league since Jan. 1...well I guess an honorable mention should go to the RAD line.

Wow. Nuclear attack seems a bit over the top doesn't it? I haven't bashed Hamhuis all year but he and Suter both had bad Wild games in my opinion. I didn't think Zannon did. I didn't realize it was against the rules to comment.

I always find our games against Edmonton entertaining.

That being said, **** the Oilers, bring on Vancouver.

I'm definitely glad we got outta there with two points. That second period was brutal.

Anyway, it's good to see us leapfrog San Jose in the rankings even though they have three games in hand. I hope Calgary and Phoenix don't go to OT tonight so they both don't come away with points. We needed St. Louis and Vancouver to lose tonight but no such luck.

Scary second period indeed. It seemslike no matter how many times it happens whenever we get a 2 goal lead we get lazy. All it takes is one bad Defensive play, and a couple of unfortunate bounces and then bam, your down one goal. However, even when we got down by a goalI felt like we were gonna win. Never really felt we were gonna lose the way the game was being played. Playing wide open hockey is a bad strategy when your going up against the RAD line. They will make you pay everytime.

Also a little scary seeing how some teams have 2 to 3 games in hand on us. Games in hand sounds good in theory and all, but I would rather perfer to have already earned those points so I'm overall happy with the position that we are in.

Radulov might still make mistakes in the defensive zone, but he is unquestionably one of the hardest workers every night. He is also, quite clearly, the most offensively gifted player we have ever had on this roster.

50 points (24g 26a) in 62 games, but 24 points in his last 24 games, including 14 goals in those 24 games. Since being moved onto a line with Dumont and Arnott, he is shooting more AND his shooting percentage has increased to over 20%.......Wow!

I just knew we were going to win the game so it was very enjoyable to watch. The 2nd period meltdown didnt even bother me. It is awesome to see the guys never get rattled.

hordy & stortini

the fight looked even with maybe slight edge to hordy, but this pic makes it look like a beat down. sometimes apperance and spin can really exaggerate things.
