CCM Vector sticks cheaply made?

I was in the store today, and perusing some sticks, and looked at the CCM Vetors they had in there(I still like the Thornton blade pattern), and the stick(which had a sticker of $199 on it, looked almost cheaply made. It felt like a balde into a shaft, and some paint or someting to make it look one-piece. Even the different CCMs sticks looked like that. Is this a CCM thing? Or are high end sticks like that for weight or something?

Most one pieces are actually two pieces that are fused together and then cosmetically dressed up to mask the shaft/blade connection.

Woodies are made almost the same too in terms of shaft and blade assembly. There's a video for that here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKkk7RuAG48&NR=1

A lot of companies only offer their top end stick as "true one-piece construction." We've taken a Dolomite at work before, heated it, and pulled out the blade. Straight off the rack.
