JM would certainly insist that Higgins would have to be included in any deal if you guys are to get Jokinen!

If Jokinen does go this deadline, I think people will be shocked.

It could be a very surprising deal.

Like.... Jokinen and something to the Edmonton Oilers for Andrew Cogliano and Ladislav Smid.

Could be a major shake-up, but I don't think he will land on a big contender if he goes. If he goes this deadline, I think he's an Oiler.

They'd have to add quite a bit more.

That's the trade I would like the most.

I know it's unlikely we would trade our captain, but I'd love to get Jokinen. Especially if it's with a trade that doesn't involve Higgins or even O'Byrne.
The guy does not say anything about Koivu's NTC... what a joke. I'd love to trade koivu for jokien but the guy who wrote the article says gainey is looking to trade koivu... and does not even mention the NTC ... terrible article.

He also said that Buffalo has entered the Jokinen sweeps which means the price got higher!

Alright, so Montreal has dropped out of the bidding for Jokinen.

And Buffalo has no intentions of acquiring Jokinen, never called Florida and the price is indeed lower.

Absolutely. I think Higgins is the key to most of the deals Bob is looking at. No Chris, no major acquisition...

I will be heartbroken if this happens. Not only is Higgins a pleasure to watch, but this wouldn't help the team, even in the present. There's no point in adding offence to this particular version of the Habs if it makes us easier to play against at even strength.

Does Jokinen plays defense on the powerplay? I saw he scored the GWG in PHI from the blueline in OT, and I wondered if he usually plays there. Maybe he just plays there qhen Murphy is out.

oh man i'd be one happy camper if jokinen was going to Montreal, it's hard to imagine the team with a real n.1 center that actually has size
