On the score 10 mins ago.

Trading Koivu makes 0 sense anyways because we have nobody else that can be an offensive center and nobody is going to trade us a better/younger center for Koivu++ anyways.

All Strachan, Garrioch and Eklund "Info" should be banned from this sight. On top of being full of ****, Strachan is a complete idiot.

That was a rerun from last night. I watched that show last night and I question that comment as well.

Unecessary comment to claim from Stratchan. He's basically stating the obvious.

He should be immediately in the unemployment line.

Strachan is an idiot. I'm honestly surprised any major publication would employ him. He brings nothing to hockey journalism.

Every time I see something linked to this guy, it's total junk. How did he get a job on CBC? What are this guy's credentials? I really don't see a single reason for him to even exist.

Koivu said he isn't leaving... the guy stayed in Montreal for the worst period in franchise history and will leave when we are finally coming out of it? Kinda dumb if you ask me. Also Koivu is playing great hockey lately.

This is Al Strachan, you can take the opposite of what he's saying to the bank.

That's not realy the point of the orignal post. Stranckan is basicaly saying the Habs couldnt give Koivu away for free.

Right, but we've already heard from various other news organizations that many teams were enquiring as to Koivu's status....

I call ********....

Koivu, while he's lost a few steps over the years with injuries, can still manage to produce 60 points a year - good enough for reliable secondary scoring on ANY team. He's pretty low maintenance and a model citizen to boot and has offered plenty of leadership to the younger players these past few seasons. Unless Strachan's "source" is #ZAMBONI# or Habitude, this is just another Strachanism pure and simple.

Put Koivu on waivers and he'd be claimed within 15 minutes, and there'd be a long list of other GMs who were sorry they couldn't get him. Saying the Habs couldn't give away for free is something voiced only by retards.

I wonder how Strachan rationalizes the ridicule and contempt everyone who knows hockey holds him in. Probably something along the lines of, "You've got to expect criticism in the media." If that's the case, I wonder if he ever looks at a guy like Bob McKenzie and wonders why he's so respected and trusted.

As soon as he's available on waivers, most GMs would quickly jump at him like a fat chick on a cupcake.Saying the opposite is only voiced by people with an suspect hockey knowledge, and this coming from Stratchan isn't really surprising.I don't understand why he's still maintained by CBC.Are his credentials and his insight that reputed? What an absolute joke.

I'd love to know the answer to this as well.

The amount of morons we have covering hockey on National TV in Canada is just staggering. I mean, who is regularly on TV and doesn't spit out bile and garbage with every word they say?

McKenzie
Scott Morrison
Pierre Lebrun doesn't BS, but I find him annoying
Dreger (but he only talks about the Leafs)

Who else is out there that's worth listening to?

I wonder if Ron McLean or anyone on the Hotstove has the balls to call ******** on him for the Lecavalier remark last week and see what his lame ass response is going to be.

Why do you say bull on that?

The guy is having one of his worse years, he is getting older and at $4.75 million per he isn't attractive as a #1 line centre.

Why so many here over value what they think Koivu is worth is beyond me.

I'm talking about player movement.

I don't watch the late CBC game every week but I've never heard Hrudey talk about trades or signings or have inside info, but I could be wrong. To me he's more like Craig Simpson... he's knows hockey and knows what he's talking about but not really and insider.

PJ? I don't doubt he has sources. What are some of the stuff he's talked about in the past? I know of his made up Hossa rumour from this week.

- I like that Duhatzchuk (sp?) Does he still even work for CBC?
