Lol, not a chance. You just give up a bunch of trash and you want Hossa in return. Have you not learned the concept of quality over quantity? Just because you include a lot of players doesn't mean it's a good deal.

Perrin has been great this year, and is signed through next year.

No chance DW moves him at the deadline.

why would the Thrashers want that deal? there are most likely teams offering a much better package for Hossa

How is that trash?

D'Agostini is awesome and probably our best forward prospect aside from..

Mikhail Grabovski, who is likely the most explosive and exciting player in the AHL..

Gorges is a very reliable defenseman in Montreal..

Ryder is scoring again ever since his brother decided to come back to hockey..

Dandenault is garbage, I agree.

and 2 draft picks (Likely a 1st + 2nd)..

If that's garbage.. give me 10 Hossa's so I can trade them all for that garbage.

For 3 months of Hossa.. to give up young guys D'Ags, Grabs, Gorges.. + Ryder + 2 draft picks..

I'll be the first Habs fan to say..

NO.

I don't think that's a good deal for either team.

Quantity doesn't mean quality.

Please stop making proposals.

i should have been more clear, the Thrashers are looking for players to help them now. only players on that list who can help them now are Gorges and Ryder. Gorges shouldnt be mentioned in any trade rumors because he has really stepped up this season, but who is say Ryder keeps up his play with the Thrashers. the Thrashers have enough players like Daddy, Grabs/D'Ags are risks i dont see the Thrashers taking for Hossa. what i should have said was, "there are much better deals out there for DW to look at for Hossa"

I agree there is SOME trash in this trade (Dandenault and maybe Ryder even though he's scoring now). But do you even know who Grabovski and D'Agostini are?

Grabovski has 6 goals 12 assists 18 points in 11 games (injured, but now back)
D'Agostini has 17 goals and 23 assists 40 points in 55 games (slow start, but think Chris Higgins version 2.0)

These players alog with Halak are probably our 3 best players in Hamilton and should all be in the NHL within the next year or so..

Now i'm not saying Atlanta would go for this..but don't call it trash either..

Habs fan here apologizing for this stupid proposal.

My gosh... someone close this garbage thread.

Atlanta would want at least one of Higgins, Lats, a Kost..... maybe something like Higgins and the rights to Perezoghan (i think him and Kovalchuk played together growing up)?

a note to "Agalloch".

Umm I'm pretty sure that the five players that Montreal would be giving up aren't "Trash"

D'Agonstini and Grabovski are two essentially Hamilton's two best players if you don't count Price and
Chipchura always going up and down from the minors.

Gorges is probably the least important player in this proposal. Even Still Gorges fits well in Montreal with Boullion.

Dandenault is Montreal's most versitile defensemen in that he can play anywhere on the ice except in net.

Ryder is obviously having a massive off year but this doesn't mean that montreal should just toss him away.

So I would have to disagree and say this "trash" is a good package for Atlanta.

If D'Agostini and Grabovski are so great, keep them Montreal. Atlanta will go out and land a far better deal elsewhere.

I doubt the GM will make a deal with you if you keep calling him by the wrong name

I think most if not all of us said that it wasen't enough for Hossa...we're just replying to the fact they were called garbage.

Perhaps if you add some glitter to your bottom pairing dmen and depth forwards, people would find them more attractive

Seriously though, I find it funny you use the word 'versatile' to pimp a 32 year old F/D who only gets 11 minutes a game. He'd be a real improvement over Perrin, who while the same age, plays a lot of minutes at EV, PP, and PK, chipping in a decent amount of points.

Also, AHL players do not equal NHL players. There are plenty of guys who are top players in the AHL but can't cut it in the big league. Just because someone's farm player is putting up decent point totals down there isn't enough to convince another teams fan they're a solid prospect.
