OT WolfPack

Was wondering if anyone knew any good message boards for the Pack with GDT's and good info on the players etc?

Not to be Captain Obvious, but we do have a prospects thread at the top that sort acts like a permanent GDT. Sometimes Inferno and others start a GDT here, too. The problem is, there isn't enough media coverage of the Pack to get good game time convos going.

Honestly, the prospect thread here is really your best bet. Though maybe I'm just saying that so I don't feel like I'm wasting my time writing up game wraps of almost every game.

(As a side note to moderators, I think it would be ideal if next season there were separate "Wolf Pack" and "Prospects", so that folks looking for specific things don't have to sort through as much stuff.)

There are two Wolf Pack message boards I check in on, but neither have GDTs or are really big on player analysis:

http://www.ahlboards.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=12
http://www.ahlfans.net/forums/index.php?showforum=11

The "In the System" Board over at Outside the Garden generally has a GDT for most games, but often it doesn't amount to much more than a print out of the standings and stats to start, and a reprint of the scoresheet at the end, with nothing in between.

And of course, there's Howlings and the Hartford Courant for news and game previews/wraps:

http://www.courant.com/sports/hockey/wolfpack/
http://www.howlings.net/

Keep in mind that unless you pay for the B2 feed, there's no way to watch the games. So most Pack fans are either at the game when it's at home, or maybe listening on the internet or radio if its away. So it doesn't really lend itself well to GDTs.

all very well put, maybe we don't have to wait until next season, we could start it now.

also i think we were going to get a petition/letter together for MSG to broadcast, even on tape-delay the 'Pack games.. let's make it happen.

I've been waging my own personal campaign to get them to put the Wolf Pack score up on the out of town scoreboard during Ranger games at MSG on nights the Pack are playing, but I've gotten absolutely nowhere with that one so far.

In the past i've declined this since there wasn't enough activity at times for just one or the other (AHL Prospect / Other Prospects)...but with the work you've done this year and the dedication you've put into it, we will definitely be making a separate wolf pack thread soon.

The games would have to be taped, for a tape delay to happen, and I'm not sure they are. My guess is that there would have to be some serious fan response for any kind of Wolfpack programming.

I've asked my MSG contact what we can do as fans to get some coverage on MSG, I'll keep you informed.
