But they won't be.

Grabovski is going to be a lot more highly coveted than Chipchura. A lot.
Really? I guess those GM's haven't seen Grab play in the NHL beit a short stint...too weak on his skates and his already 24 years old...if he can't hack it physically now what makes people think he will down the line?

Besides, you go to war with the likes of Chipchuras...someone who can bear down and kick it up a gear, like someone said, a blocked shot etc etc etc.

Agreed. Grabovski would hate making millions of dollars in the NHL, thus he would ignore every instruction from his team, access to their training facilities, nutrionalist, personal trainers, and continue to be "weak" and not realize his full potential.

Yup, that's how it goes down. Finnicky *******.

Because he has a lot of will and hes always quickly back up. Look at Briere it took time before he start being a good NHL player.

Keep both players. I'd like to see Grabovski brought up for a game or two, give him another shot. Seems to be on quite the roll in Hamilton.

Get a grip, he isn't a teenager, his body has matured...weak legs, flashy sure, ton of points in the AHL lately...doesn't mean it will translate to success in the NHL. Besides, if you say making millions is the motivating factor...I'll pass up on a guy like that, its winning that should be the ultimate factor.

No, I called Grabovski one. Sucks that he was born with the genes that don't allow him to get stronger. Professional athletes never do that.

Chris Higgins (chip) vs Josef Balej (grabs)

My thoughts exactly, why not give him another chance.. Might give us some secondary scoring we desperately need right now (especially if we do not land an impact player)

Totally wrong. Higgins is far different than Chips just like Grabs isn't another Balej.

yeah, they are different types of players... but all have the same potential.

Chip is a NHL regular just like Higgins.
Grabovski is a marginal peripheral physically weak player, just like Balej.

Absolutely not.

Higgins has much more offensive potential than Chips.

Same goes with Grabs vs Balej.

yeah, granted... but Grabs won't make the NHL and Chip will.

what I meant is that we had that debate over Balej vs Higgins some years ago...

How do you know it will not be the other way around ? Chipchura didn't impress me one bit in his short stint in the NHL.

This guy (grabs) seriously needs to be called up already, put on a line for more than 1 game, and let him do his thing for a few games before he cools off.

Grabovski will be as valuable if not more than Chipchura.

Look at the Dogs in the past 6-7 games, which player wins it all for Hamilton, certainly not Chip...
This is where you are COMPLETELY wrong unless of course you are wanting your top two lines playing the entire final 5 minutes of the game.

Chipchura has good hockey sense and is a solid passer and thus still has a better possibility creating offensive chances while being defensively aware. The third line has to play even when trailing, you are out to lunch if you don't think so and in this case i'd rather have Chipchura out there instead of, oh say, Max Lapierre.

I actually agree. I hope Grabs proves us wrong but the one thing he lacks is strength.

All the successful smaller players have one thing that Grabs doesn't and that is a strong lower body and great center of balance. A guy like St. Louis is strong on his skates and isn't manhandled.

The kid has a tonne of heart. He takes big hits and gets up and continues on however he just isn't strong enough right now and may never be.

Chips for sure. Long NHL career ahead of him.

I don't think Grabo will make it.

Grabs will make it as Kovalchuk's centre when he's traded for Hossa

If he stays with the Habs I don't think Grabs has a chance as a centre, but as a winger instead. Not strong enough to be a centre in the NHL.
