P.K. and the Belleville Bulls won 7-1 over the Petes and advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Subban had 2 more assists and finished the series with 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points in 5 games.

Olivier Fortier was awarded for the best defensive forward (trophée Guy-Carbonneau) in the Q last night.

Nice. He's sort of the forgotten prospect these days, not even on the HF top 20 list.

The Pacioretty fight that got him suspended for 1 game a while back.

That complication of Pacioretty on there is really good. The music is sick.

Subban is at the top of the OHL in scoring for defensemen. Great to see, hope he keeps it up for the next round, would be great to see the Bulls go to the Memorial Cup.

It's 'Nara' by E.S. Posthumus if you were wondering.

Thanks man, yes I was.

EDIT: Wow, these guys are really good, I might just have to buy they're album.

Ben Maxwell with another goal and an assist in a 5-3 loss to Medicine Hat. The series is now 3-1. He now has 6 points in four games(4 goals, 2 assists).

Do you think Ben Maxwell and the Kootney Ice have a realistic chance to go to the mem cup? I think Weber's team hold the tournament this year, am I right?

Yeah, Kitchener host the Memorial Cup but they want to enter it as the OHL Champ...

There is a chance. They are likely going to go up against Calgary in the second round which will be a very good series. Maxwell vs. White, hopefully Shaw picks up that series. Calgary is a lot deeper in forwards, defense and goaltending. If they can get past the Hitmen they have a decent shot of going to the finals. I still think the team that goes to the Memorial Cup will have to get by Vancouver to do it, which will be a tough task.

We very well could see a OHL Championship Final between Kitchener and Belleville and then see Part 2 in the Memorial Cup.

Weber vs Subban

Prospects in the CHL playoffs doing well

The info is: overall position - player's name - Games Played / Goals / Assists / Penalty Minutes

In the WHL,

7 - Ben Maxwell---- 4 / 4 / 2 / 6 / 6
80 - Ryan White----- 4 / 1 / 2 / 3 / 0

In the OHL

7 -- P.K. Subban---- 5 / 3 / 5 / 8 / 4
11 - Yannick Weber--4 / 4 / 2 / 6 / 6

In the QMJHL

(I couldn't find our prospect, Olivier Fortier, in their list).

Not bad stuff for three of the four that I could find... very encouraging

Ben Maxwell looks real good !!

I hope the Kootenay Ice win the WHL championship so we can see them in the Memorial cup.

And Kootenay has little success at best vs Calgary this year... It'll be a fun series to follow tho. I'll try to catch a game or 2.

Might not fit into any category, but as far as undrafted goalies to have in our system, shouldn't we try to get Jean-Christophe Blanchard from Rimouski. Everytime I saw him, he was just plain spectacular. Great size while he's not big. Great reflexes, needs work on his positional play, still I was impressed by him. Definately a better Lacasse to say the least.

Yep, would like to see blanchard get a contract with hamilton like desjardins two years ago! But that kid need to hit the gym asap (6"5 169lbs) also the baie-comeau goalie cousineau (08draft) he's really good too. Btw, fortier had the flu thats why he didnt played

Well I got to think Gainey will be looking at some goalies to sign this summer, unless they know for sure Danis is willing to re-sign and they will either sign Desjardins or give him another ahl contract. Something needs to be done to beef up on depth in nets this summer as Danis imo has really struggled and if we have an injury to Price/Halak next year we would be in big big trouble. I wanted Michael Lee Teslak but he signed with the flyers. Hope Gainey finds someone for Hamilton next year.
