He was going after Hossa all night long...not just checking him hard...but I must have seen approximately 4 or 5 attempted low bridges...and that "charging" incident in the 3rd made me completely freak out!!! Does he have absolutely no respect for his fellow players? He was out there all night long trying to end someone's career...sheesh...Quinn's sure doing a great job teaching the fine art that he mastered on Orr.
You really dont pay much attention do you... as if the Sens aren't cheap. lol give me a break... who almost ended berards career? The sens are known for being cheap shot artists. It's what we have come to expect. Poke and run... last night was poke and die. THey got what they deserved, and the mccabe fight there was no contest. Chara is a monster... mccabe showed lots of balls stepping up.

Umh, last time I checked following through on a shot isn't cheap. It was a pure fluke that Hossa's stick hit Berard, and if Berard had been smart enough to wear a visor, there's a good chance he wouldn't have had a problem anyways. Either way, if that is the basis of your claim that Ottawa is cheap, I can no longer take anything you say seriously.

Nobody feels worse than Hossa, he has apologized profusely. Berard has forgiven Hossa. Too bad some fans can't do the same.

I just went to get a few items at the corner store today and asked the Lebanese owner what he thought of the game. He thought it was great. And I thought he was a Sens fan all these years LOL. I asked him what he thought of the Leafs gooning it up. He replied they didn't goon it up, this was just payback for Hossa gouging out Berard's eye, Nolan's injury, and a host of other atrocities committed by the Sens over the years. I couldn't believe it.

The Hossa-Berard incident will always be brought up to justify anything the Leafs can possibly do for the next 20 years.

For all the abuse Hossa has taken from McCabe over the years, I hope Hossa clocks him good in the very near future. Enough is enough already.

That would be fine if indeed Hossa had simply been following through on a slapshot. However, Hossa made a wild stab at a loose puck. He did not have control of his stick, and used it quite carelessly. Read an article or two about the incident and you'll see that even Hossa said it was careless.

That McCabe looked like a Raggedy Ann 'girly man' in Chara's hands last night. What a chicken, he kept turning his back to Zdeno, he couldn't face him and take his whooping up front.

Most bullies back down when confronted. Domi kept hiding from Neil all night.

It is amazing how Leaf fans still like to use Berard. They all disowned him after the Leafs failed to give Berard a contract offer and Berard used that to claim Free Agency and skip out of Toronto as fast as he could. Now a few years later, Berard is again a favorite son and used to give the Leafs any moral advantage in their battles against the Sens. And all the wailing is coming from fans who never lost as much as an eyelash in their lifetime....

The only guy who has a right to complain, ISN'T.

Domi hiding from Neil?

Domi kills Neil every time they fight. Use your head.

Domi won't fight Neil any more. Neil has some new fancy moves. Domi knows eventually Neil is gonna get him. Every gunslinger has his day.

One last thing.

If and I say if the Sens had won last night, there wouldn't be one garrulous Leaf poster on this Sens board today.

I'm talking as a flyers fan and I strongly believe that the only team in the entire NHL capable of beating the Sens in a playoff series is the leafs. They play so physical, they are able to get the Sens off of their game and the Sens need to get tougher just to beat the leafs. The flyers can play the leafs because they are more talented and a big team, who will respond to big hits and dish out big hits. As a flyers fan, i'm hoping that they matchup in the second round because I see no way the flyers can beat the Sens and yet I strongly believe the leafs can beat them.

C- Zdeno is a freak , he looks like that guy from "My Giant", and mccabe did go toe to toe with him, he just couldn't get anywhere near him because chara had him at the end of his huge freak/birth defect arm. Oh, and just flinging someone around with your freakishly long arm isn't fighting...oh wait - unless your one of those ladies who plays for the sens.
Dicky,

Just when I thought leafs fans can't get worse, you go ahead and prove me wrong. You're right though, McCabe desperately and clearly wanted to go toe to toe with Chara. That damn birth defect of Big Z just got in the way of a huge working. What a freak Chara is.

Get a grip.

Your team has fatal flaws, and that's what causes this phenomenon known as "Sens Rage" that all you fools seem to get about this time each year, I think after the playoffs this year you may be able to use that as a defense in court - we'll see.
I still don't see any real point in your post here... but while we're at it, I may as well point out that we still murdered you 7-1 in your own rink.

I am so much dumber for having read this crap.

Do we all feel so much better about ourselves living vicariously through the lives of our respective teams?

A lot of people need to get a big grip on life. It was a frickin' hockey game played by adults (more than I can say for the way most are acting on the HF boards about this game) that featured some emotions. Big frickin' deal!

Quite whining about who started what, who gouged who, who poked whose eye out 50 years ago and get the hell on with your lives.

Bunch of frickin' children I tell ya.

Isn't this why God gave us a Leafs/Sens rivalry??? I feel the hate!!

On a serious note, I apologize to anyone who feels dumber in reading my contributions. I rarely get caught up in troll work, but I'll be the first to admit that it's an awfully sour taste to get mauled by the leafs like last night! No need to lie, we got beat up plain and simple. Though some of the leafs fans interpretations of how things went down are a little off...
