I'm guessing Burke wouldn't mind keeping this pick, but by the sounds of it it's in play(just not for a rental) and as a Ducks fan I was wondering what it could bring back to Anaheim. Remember, has to be a hockey deal, with Anaheim's most glaring weakness being down the middle. Also remember Anaheim's lack of cap and tagging space.

I hope Burke gets Stamkos with the pick and then offers Stamkos to Edmonton for Penner and then laughs at Lowe when his face lights up.

What else would you add from either side, if anything?

I think that seems pretty obvious if you're looking for someone down the middle that's not a rental. And at 5.25 for the next two years, he's a steal.

the only player who i would think Burkie would deal the 1st to is Jokinen. mainly because he has a multi year contract

After the way things went down before the season I just can't see Lowe having the nerve/nads to even make a offer to Burke for the pick back?

What draft picks did EDM give up in the Penner deal?

Now that me now that moreau's out, they're as good as dead
Gagne, Cogliano and Hemsky are not going to be able to save that team from a top 5 pick

Florida would never trade a top 7 centre of the NHL for a top 10 pick.

Is Giguere retiring? I see no reason why the Ducks would want Halak when Giggy signed a long term contract.

Why would Florida want a (turning) 40 year old dman and a top 10 pick for a top 7 centre in the NHL?

Don't get me wrong but the only thing will miss with him out is his physical play. In fact I hate to say it but we may be better off without him after watching him the last few games. Therefore your analysis is dead wrong, not the Oil.
