Brendan Morrison (if we get a centre like Richards).

NYR give Petr Prucha + 3rd for Travis Moen and a 1st

Relatively cheap, energetic, 20+ goal scorer that has a net add of only 700k cap space. The 3rd becomes a 2nd if it's in top 5 and a 1st if it's top in the draft.

I don't think you have rights to call anything ridiculous in this thread.

Because they want to big contracts coming back, as well as the fact that the top 5 pick that they'd get could very well draft a player who will be a little better than Jokinen. Then you can add on the fact that apparently it isn't working out between Jokinen and Florida, thus lowering his trade value.

When a player wants out and/or management wants to trade a player(in this case it might be both), they don't get premium value. Never.

LOL @ "a little better than Jokinen" . and those chances are? 5-10% ? Even if they'd get Stamkos, nothing is assured.

Grabovski sucked big time in the NHL. Emelin may never come over.

Overpay on Vancouver's part. Let's keep things civil here; Morrison is a proven NHL player, worth far more than a top 10 pick.

Oiler fans are underrate BMo, this is a guy that has scored at a PPG pace during his career.

A top 10 pick is not worth a player of BMo's calibre.

Give him some time. How many players are good/great in their first 15 games in the NHL?

8 goals and 20 points in 12 games with Hamilton so far. So you know.

Emelin is a good dman prospect too.

The top 10 pick is the biggest question mark of the 3.

Where is Darren Haydar (122 pts in the A last year) right now, tell me?

plus, Grabovski isn't 20 or 21, he's 24 for god's sake. looked like a peewee against NHLer.

I'd rather gamble on a top ten pick than a 24 YO still playing in the minors and a russian who doesn't want to play in NA, unless it's in the NHL.

Pretty big "could" there.

89 and 91 points in the past 2 seasons, 60 in 65 so far this year. Not to mention hes missed a total of 7 GAMES in the past 8 seasons!

Florida will not give Jokinen for ANYTHING but a sure thing. I guarantee it.

Hrmm that trade to PHI sounded interesting, but the way they are playing are you sure it won't end up being a better pick then the EDM#1? Seeing how Carter would not be in the line up and richards is hurt ?

Brendan Morrison straight up? Why would the Ducks give up the chance to draft a potential 1st liner for a guy who rode the coattails of Naslund and Bertuzzi?

The Jeff Carter and a 2nd looked like the best offer by far. Carter will be a 40 goal man who can play both the wing and center and they get a center too. Burke would do the deal in a heartbeat.

No don't trade it i want to see a smug Burke go to the podium and say i told you so. Than have Lowe standup at his table and give Burke the finger and than tap Dave Semenko on the back. Than Semenko would rush the stage start feeding him lefts and rights and than stand Burke up. lowe would go to the stage and slap burke across the face with a hockey glove pimp style. Before Stamkos comes the stage Marty Mcsorley crawls from under the stage than from behind he gives Stamkos a wicked two hander to his knee than a stunning elbow that ends up knocking his talented ass out.

Semenko than drags a stunned Burke over to stamkos while lowe points at Stamkos and says "Is this what you were trying to tell me punk." Burke starts crying and tells lowe he is welcome to any of his rfa's and would not except any draft picks in return. Lowe says "ok i am going to take Perry of your hands but i would also like to have getzlaf on my team."Burke starts pleading with lowe"But but Kevin he is not a rfa, Perry i do not mind but Getzlaf."Lowe looks at burke right in his eye's and says"It seems like you want to have me as a enemy?. If you want this problem to be resolved Getzlaf has to be included." Burke now at the feet of Lowe starts begging for mercy and says" Yes yes he is yours just spare my life please please."

Lowe starts to walk away and calls Semenko and Mcsorley and they walk to there table Lowe sits at the head of the table and than his cell starts to ring he picks it up and says "hello" than in a monotone voice on the otherside says"Hello kev its me mr.Katz i have been watching, you did everything i have asked for you to do now this is how this franchise should be run. Congratulation you get to keep your job." Lowe thanks him for being patient with him. Other teams start drafting lower ranked players in fear that lowe would do same to them. untell lowe gets Doughty with the 24th pick from burke. I can not wait for the draft its going to be a good day.
