Does Calgary respond to Forsberg in Colorado?

...Big deal for Colorado...

Personally, I'd like to see Calgary acquire Robert Lang and Chris Gratton, if it could be done for non-roster players.

Huselius - Langkow - Iginla
Tanguay - Lang - Nolan
Nilson - Conroy - Lombardi
Gratton - Primeau - Yelle

ex: Boyd, Smith, Godard, Moss

Vandermeer - Phaneuf
Sarich - Regehr
Aucoin - Hale

ex: Warrener, Eriksson

Kipper
Cujo

...I like the look of that, but I wonder what Calgary will do to respond...

The Flames definelty need to do something to respond to this. Vancouver will soon get some of their D back and this will result in better days, Floppa is going to at the very least bring heart to Colorado resulting in better days, Minnesota will be a steady pusher so this leads to some really really tough end of the season conference games...

Please Sutter do something.... (hint: hes from a cold country next to Sweden and he plays in a warm state full retired folk)

i think the Robert Lang experiment has been tested and failed on too many occasions for me to want him here

but i think the forsberg signing will start all the trades now

It's a huge longshot but I still would love to see Olli Jokinen in red. I highly doubt it, but hey, I can dream.

A centre, capable of at least playing on the 2nd line, and a dman, who can play top 4 minutes if needed (i.e if Vandermeer's play drops), is what I want to see. Also I don't mind giving up Lombardi or Warrener and 4th round and below picks.

Why does Calgary have respond? Because AVS signed Forsberg, if Calgary starts reponding everytime a time in the NW division or in the west sign a player they will lose all their young players.

They should respond by winning tomorrow's game and make it an 8-point lead over the Avs.

I hope for one better. I hope that during that win, Peter Forsberg comes out on the penalty kill and takes an Adrian Aucoin slapshot off the foot, ending one of the stories that many of us tired of after hearing about it for the millionth time.

But a win's good too.

You guys don't need to respond. You're playing well and we most likely won't make the playoffs. But it'll be a nice last 20 games or so seeing Forsberg back on the ice.

Be careful, karma might hit a Flames player instead.

I would highly doubt it. I assume he'll need a couple practises to get into nhl game shape.

Since the deadline is rapidly approaching, and there's been a dearth of major deals leading up, don't be disappointed if there's not a lot of intense activity by the middle of this afternoon. Last year, the asking prices were skyrocketing, and seasoned GM's might be less willing to part with prime prospects and 1st rounders for rental players. The warm and fuzzy reunions (McCarty back to Detroit, Forsberg back to Colorado) just might turn out to be the big stories.
