Sure ya were.....I think you were bringing our attention to the fact that Danny is a wee-bit vertically challenged.

LOL I think I named half the defense and half the forwards.

But I agree - streak over - great job by Stevens helping them play well.

Right???

Yes, they surely are inconsistent, like I have been saying all along, for the reason I have been talking about all along.

Can we get back to how Jason Smith is better than Colin White?

Jeez what crawled up your ass and died?

Anyways, anyone looking for a decent laugh should go read the Sabres board where they scream and cry about the officiating despite the fact that they were on the PP a grand total of 16 seconds less than we were, oh the injustice!

What a crazy game. What a tough loss for Buffalo and their fans...those poor people. Oh well, at least their fans must have left with nice and full stomachs, after Briere made them eat all their "boooooooooooooooos."

they're not inconsistent... they've played the same all year. when it was pointed out they were beating the crap out of the dregs of the league, you made that out to be irrelevant. when the schedule ramped up, they couldn't keep up.... and injuries added to their troubles.

all year they've relied entirely on their ability to out talent teams, or banked on goalies to bail 'em out. they've struggled when they've played specific teams, or been in situations where they couldn't lean on talent alone to win... it's been very consistent.

A healthy Jason Smith, which that one ain't and your boy Stevens is too stupid to give some rest to, is every bit as good as Colin White. If you think Colin White is something truly special, ignorance is the source you're citing. They're both good defensive defenseman with respective strengths and weaknesses. A devil fan said as much to you when you spawned a thread trying to run out that line of thought.

But, please, let us get back to the fact that this roster, which you're now panning (because it serves your purpose of defending Stevens and not crowing about how good a job he's doing), was one player away from being a Cup Contender, in your opinion, a month ago. Your opinion has been anything but consistent... you accuse everyone else of flailing around with their thoughts, when really it's you that has been doing it.

i want to say good things about tonight, but i don't want to jinx us against ottawa.

let's just say i'm happy we didnt pack up our gear and go home when we were down 3-0. and pick up a rare win in a shootout.

I suppose in your infinite wisdom you predicted a comeback, shootout victory? There wasn't a Flyers fan on earth not thinking "here we go again".

Whew!!! I just read through the entirety of BOTH GDT's. My right index finger has no feeling right now from scrolling.

First off, what a game!!! **** YEAH FLYERS!!!!! Way to suck out the poison from the snakebite!!
I really thought we were toast after the second Sabres goal. But NO!! We actually ****ing won!!! FINA-****ING-LLY!!!!!

I'm so happy right now. I love the fact that the internet exists so I can "talk" to my Flyer faithful brethren at 1a.m. pacific. I love the fact that VS. doesn't have a 7 second delay on their broadcast, so they weren't able to bleep Briere saying "Holy ****!". I love the fact that Danny got the GWG, and I love the fact that "Downie did it" said in post #694 of GDT #1 "What if Briere scored the GWG?". I love the fact that Jeff Carter and RJ Umberger had such monster games. I...... I just love right now. Good night all. I love you all.

GO FLYERS!!!

edit: flyersfan420 - I am so jealous that you were there! Cheers!

FYI-Jeff Carter 2nd Star on nhl.com, and, I looked at the standings. If we had picked up even half the possible points during that 10 game streak, we'd be tied for first in the conference right now.

Last time I checked there are 12 forwards, you named Kapanen and Dowd. Ruzicka is an AHL call up

12/2 = 6 not 3. Good try though

Who is panning? i am just repeating the statements made by you and others here have made about the various Flyers who comprise the Division's best defense and one of the league's top five offenses LOL

If one could go back over the last eight weeks here one could find numbskulls like FlyHigh and others ripping into just about every Flyer (excepting the ones for which they hold Puppy Love) and THEN, after having stated the shortcomings of almost every player, stating that the Flyers have a great roster hobbled by a terrible coach.
