Now Briere won't have to play with himself.

Great trade, loved him while he was here, and I always felt we let him go too early. Not much of a return.
Boyle signed, Richards says no to Philly, looks like Carter is staying

I love it.

Picard could be nice but we have some defensive prospects and I just love the message it sends to this team and its fans.

Theres no quit here.

I can live with this. I really like Picard, but this is okay. I'm guessing the pick is conditional on resigning Prospal in the offseason?

TSN says it's a 2nd or 3rd rounder in 09.

The pick is a conditional third, could be a second. Does Prospal really bring you guys anything you were lacking?

We have Prospel Back!!

Just released on TSN.ca for defensemen Alexandre Picard and a second or third round draft pick in 2009.

No Richards and Gagne? That's lacking in forward depth. Not sure when Lupul will be returning. It may be a winger Danny can play with.

Does Prospal still play center, or does he play wing these days?

In Homer we trust.

I am so happy we got Prospal and didn't sell out and take Richards.

I too liked Picard, but Vinny is nice, you also have to thnik this is to replace Gagne if we make it to the post season, not just to fill in for Richie and Lupes.

What kind of money will be looking for next year?

Why no enthusiasm here? Floppers made out like bandits in this trade. VP is the real deal. One of the better offensive Dmen in the game and it's not like he's a liability on Defense either.
