Trade Deadline Day: All Trades in Here Please!

In an effort to keep the board uncluttered, please post all deadline day moves in this thread. The forum will likely be slow for almost everyone and thus every little bit helps to keep the site up.

Good idea. I already resigned myself to the fact this board will be down and impossible to access tomorrow though. Then again, hero Smyth isn't getting his pink slip like last year. I loved that.

The few trade threads up right now are fine. The problems will arise tomorrow when a flurry of deals start to pop up so that's primarily what this thread is intended to address. I doubt the news about Dan Boyle and Vaclav Prospal will crash the servers.

Chris Gratton joins the Oilers tomorrow. My only prediction for Edmonton.

Hossa ends up in Dallas.

-Prospal for D Alex Picard and conditional '09 pick: Both teams win this deal- the Flyers get a cheap top-line LW to replace Gagne, and the Lightning begin a reload by picking up a cap-friendly young defender and a draft choice in the deepest year since '91. Picard can step in, play 20 minutes, and anchor the 2nd PP unit.

-Lightning re-sign Boyle to 6 year, $40 million deal: Boyle's a great guy, an enormously effective player for a one-dimensional d-man and he can log mad minutes in the clutch. But $6.6 million is too much and it's just more terrible cap management by the Lightning. They had an opportunity to learn from their mistakes and they just put their hand on the stove again.

The Boyle resigning is a sure sign one of their big 3 forwards is going. Either that or the owner had a change of heart about spending to the cap.

I'm hoping Richards to Vancouver or Calgary and that they overpay to get him. I'd love to have his contract on one of their books for the next few years.

I wonder if the Boyle signing reduces T-Bay's bargaining power?

That is what I am worried about too. I have no idea why this was announced pre-deadline.

Because it's just like Tampa Bay is hanging an "open for business" sign on it's front door.

Come and get 'em boys, it's a top 3 blow out sale in Tampa Bay!

Although we're stacked on D, I always wanted the Oilers to take a chance on Travis Roche.
A BCHL grad, an NCAA player, and AHL allstar. (Man of the Year once in Houston)

Slick skater, puts up good offensive numbers. 6 goals 19 points in Phoenix last year in 50 games. 6 goals 34 points in 53 games for San Antonio this year in the AHL. Couple of times an AHL allstar, and fitting the Oilers bill - he grew up in Whitecourt, 80 minutes north of Edmonton.

It'd be a horribly minor trade, but one I think would pay off for this team. In total NHL games played on the blue line he has 20 points in 60 games being a 5th/6th and rotated in as a 7th for most games.

He is talking about the past:

13-Mar-2001 Pittsburgh Penguins traded Sven Butenschon to the Edmonton Oilers for Dan Lacouture.

I think he may have forgotten the

Yahoo Sports is reporting that Jeff Halpern, backup goalie Mike Smith and young defenseman Mark Fistric for Richards is almost done. They way they say is that its done but not official.

Also says Hossa to Montreal is most likely.

I traded a peanut butter and banana sandwich for cheese and crackers and a juice box.

No word yet on what kind of juice... stay tuned.

So... he'd be top 3 here with all our injuries?
