Yeah but we're a defensive team...that's why we've won so many Cups since '92.

The only thing more depressing than that statistic is that after this season, the Oilers will have gone 22 years and counting without a 100 point team.

the really pathetic thing is that we dont even have a guy in the system who looks like a 30 goal scorer, yet alone a 40 goal scorer.... and whats even worst, is that we could have had a legit chance at getting stamkos this year, if not for lowes stupidity last off season

Patience, my friend. Cogliano will score 40 next year.

Cogliano reminds me of Marchant. Bang home 1 /20 chances.

I can't even see Hemsky getting 25 goals.

40 goals??? Haha, I'd settle for a 30 goal scorer at this point.

Penner scored 29 last year so to say we have nobody that looks like a 30 goal scorer is a little off-base, at least for now.

But more and more I'm beginning to think playing for the Oilers shaves about 10 goals off the total you'd score on any other normal, functioning, NHL team.

Penner will probably score 20 a few times for Edmonton but I doubt he'll score 30 very often (maybe once or twice).

And it's not like Stamkos would have helped, jadedog. I heard he's suspect defensively.

You just send him to the minors for 3 years so Bucky can have his way with him.
