I can't say if the Flyers win or lose at the deadline.

Seeing what other teams in the east did, I don't think they're any better today than they were last week.

They could have used another defenseman, or an experienced bottom 6 forward. I would have liked Chad Kilger.

You can't be done when you never started. Disappointing day, however I'm happy to have hung on to our youth.

Rumor from another board was that Florida wanted Carter and Umberger for Jokinen.

That was a trade I would have made in November, not right now though.

Yes they could of used one.

But I don't think there was anyone truly available for what we wanted to give up. And I'm glad. I wouldn't want them to trade youth for someone who won't be here come next season. Vinny might not stay, but Picard wasn't going to get enough time here anyway.

Why did we make the trade for a rental Prospal if we were going to improve our D today? Prospal is only a rental correct?

heh I know everyones happy with our youth, but I still have wanted another GOOD puckmoving defenseman. We have been planing for the future for quiet some time now. Im starting to get tired of "next year we will win" attitude =(. But oh well. Next year we will win

EDIT: dont get me wrong though. I probaly woud have died if we traded something like Carter + Umberger for Jokinen. I might have gone to visit Homer and punched him....

All teams are done except for Philly and Colorado according to TSN.

Edit: Sorry was typing to fast; expect = except.

I think the Tagging rule made it hard for Homer.

Didnt you guys see the rate that Campbell was costing? I think it would have been Lupul and a 1st for him, no thanks.

And how dont you give up Carter and Umberger for Jokinen, I love bother players but Jokinen on a good team could put up Iggy like numbers.

Prospal is here to weather the storm, once we get everyone back we will be good to go. Just wished Gags was coming back.

How exactly does that work? How do they know they aren't done? Does everyone have to call and say they are done?
