I'm a little late on this, but I wanted to mention it

I wanted to post this two days ago, but I was very busy, so please forgive me for my lateness.

Anyway, two days ago was the 26th anniversary of one of the (many) great moments in Oiler history.

If anyone's old enough to remember, feel free to reminisce of that magical night.

I remember seeing the highlights and the last 2 goals looked identical - I thought 77 was a replay of 76

It was amazing to see the fans give Gretzky a standing O - I don't think you see fans do stuff like that very often.

I am one of the many who probably are not old enough to remember this event. What was so historic about THIS hat trick?

If I'm not mistaken this was the game where he broke Esposito's record for most goals in a season.

It was a truly great night. The Press Box buffet was lasagna and all you can eat mashed potatoes.
