Now that the dust has settled...

who would you like to see called up for their mug-o-coffee?

Personally, I would like to see Piskula and Petiot. They're both big (6-3/214, 6-3/200), and quite frankly, it's time for them to show what they can do up here. I remember when Petiot essentially cracked the lineup a couple years ago before having to undergo surgery. And he was known as a nasty hitter. Piskula is supposedly the stay-at-home type, and with so much offensive skill on our blueline (and so much lacking in size), these two could add a thing or two before the season ends. Maybe they become chips for another trade too...

I personally think it's more important for Manchester to make the playoffs...so whomever's most expendable.

Piskula for sure. I'd love to see him up here.

I'm not sure that anyone will, at least not the forwards. I wouldn't be surprised at all if none of them play with the Kings and, instead, all of them stay in Manchester. First, the Monarchs need them and they need to get that team into the playoffs so that these kids can get post-season experience. Second, since Lombardi didn't unload any forwards, there really isn't the space available to give ice-time to the kids that can compare with what they'd get in Manchester. Harrold, of course, is pretty much a lock to play out the balance of the season with LA. We'll probably see him "sent down" on paper by Thursday, though, so that he'll be eligible for the AHL playoffs.

I don't know if anyone will come up, but I would like Piskula to come up. He showed quite a bit in his stint last year, and I'd like to see him play a bit more.

It would be sensible to call up Petiot at least for a few games given his expiring contract and the tougher competition for roster spots in coming years. He's definitely got questions to answer after the setbacks of his injuries; that of course is assuming the organization hasn't already given up on him.

My guess is Harrold is here to stay and we'll just run with Dallman and Harrold full time. I imagine we'll pluck a defenseman for a game or two if someone gets the flu or something, but in the case that it'll only be a single game it almost doesn't matter who it is, since they won't have enough time to demonstrate anything.

Question directed to Narch fans & people who've watched Petiot this year.

Do you believe Petiot still has the potential to become a steady defensive, hard hitting NHL defenseman capable of playing at least 15 minutes a night? Or have injuries totally derailed his progression?

Petiot, Piskula and Bagnall. Each one-third of the games.

You have to call someone up. We have 6 defenseman right now and Blake said he wont play until at least Saturday... leaving us with 5. We need to call someone up for tomorrow's game. We are VERY thin on the blueline now.

Given that they traded away two left shot defensemen, this is all the more reason to give Petiot and Piskula some games, as they have done with the forwards who are closest to being NHL ready.

Piskula was recently sat down for "developmental reasons." It would be interesting if he got the call. I think you'll see either Petiot or most likely Klemm.

Yeah, saw Bagnall with his left arm in a sling at last Friday/Saturday night games.

That said, I think he could be turned into a good defensive dman if they stopped switching him back and forth.

Everyone knows that, but **** at least it'd make things interesting here in L.A. I'd also call up Westgarth, Zeiler and Kanko though too. I'd call up Matty Ryan if he was on an NHL deal too. If we're going to tank, might as well tank the right way and fight our way to the bottom

Matty Ryan wouldn't necessarily aid in the tanking of the Kings. He probably wouldn't prevent it, but he wouldn't have the same effect that the others would.

I know, but he'd do Army's job while he's hurt. He wasn't all that bad in his stint with the Kings a few years ago.

Why the h-e double hockey sticks do we call klemm up instead of one of the kids? It does not make us better and even if it did why, it robs manchester of the much neede 'veteran leadership' for the playoff drive and lastly it just doesn't make sense. I know I don't know as much as the leadership of this team, that was proven to me because I would have wasted the fourth overall pick on cheraponov to play on kopi's wing for the next ten years and I would not have had the foresight to bring clouts back freaking ever. So can someone pleeeeeeeeeease tell me why we are not going to see if Petoit is finally ready or if Piskula has improved after a year? Hey AEGintern ask your boss what the hell he is thinking please !

Because Klemm would do both the least damage to the Kings and his absence would be the least damage to the Monarchs.

Piskula has been playing well. Petiot has improved. But I don't know that either of them, or any or the dmen really, are ready for more than a cup of coffee.
