Paging ReggieMoto and Bingo

How are the Monarchs looking? We haven't had an update a few weeks?

How's Camm? Did Lehoux get a heart transplant yet? Any updates on when Grebeshkov is coming back??

I'll try to give you an answer either tonight, after the game against Bridgeport (NY Islanders), or tomorrow. I don't really have the time right now (I'm at work still, and leaving shortly for the game).

This will be the first game since the Zizka call-up, and we brought a talented young forward up today from Readind: Leon Hayward. I saw Grebs at a meet-and-greet about 2 weeks ago, and he said he might be back in a 3-4 weeks.

What a horrible game tonight against the Bridgeport (CT) Sound Tigers. We started off strong, with Cammy scoring the first goal quickly in the first period. However, it finished badly, 5-2 Bridgeport, with the final Sound Tiger goal flying into an empty net.

Follow this link and check out the thread on tonight's game. You'll get the fix you're looking for.

That had to be one of the biggest let downs last night.

Cammy's goal was sweet. He went through the defense like they played high school hockey.

Kutz(sp) is a freaking boat anchor. He is huge, but is "Hal Gill" tough. Soft as melted butter and slow as they come.

We need Grebs back, before he got injured, he started to look REAL good.

Believe it or not, Parros is playing sound hockey. He has really played well in his own end, getting his stick in passing lanes, and taking the high man in the slot that always seems to be open. He also bloodied AHL tough guy Mel Angelstad a few weeks back in a pretty decent fight.( According to Ken Cail)

The Monarchs need to keep the first period momentum. They come out with guns blazing and then poof. All gone.

Glad to see Barney tearing it up. He is sorely missed. I am glad to have center ice, the King's are rapidly becoming my favorite over Boston.

Where in gawds name is Brennan? Trade him or send him down for the love of Pete!!!

Follow teh link Reggie set up, the AHL boards are dominated by Monarchs fans.

I could see Grebs sitting in the players and family seating area last night. He was sitting in section 104 up in the last row, all by himself, looking pretty miserable. A couple of people did stop by and ask him for his autograph, and he obliged. I wonder if the language thing is much of an obstacle, or if he just is a mopey kid anyway. I'm sure that, if nothing else, he misses not playing.

I second the Brennan statement. If LA is not going to let him skate, send him to Manchester and let him skate here.

It is good to hear Parros playing well, he must be a smart kid (Princeton). What do you see in Lehoux, Clarke, Welch and the goalies? Does anyone really stand out as being a future NHL contributer? Thanks

Lehoux is starting to coast/float again. I know he's young, but just when I start to think he understands that every game is a try-out, the coasting/floating Lehoux resurfaces. That having been said, he's on track for 14-goals, 30-assists and 4th in points among currently active Monarchs.

Clarke was in a "funk" since his return from LA until the past couple of games. He's on track for 21-goals, 28-assists and 3rd in points behind Kelly and Rosa, among currently active Monarchs.

Welch has been out since late December with a shoulder problem and had shoulder surgery around the first of the year. He is still "out indefinitely".

Chouinard has been injured on and off all season. His latest injury is listed as a knee strain with his status as day-to-day, but he started last night in front of a healthy Adam Hauser who has been the teams most consistant goaltender this season. Hauser is not under contract with LA.

To date, I would predict 3rd line NHLers at best for any of the forwards listed. Clarke has the most upside of the three at this point in time. We'll have to see how Welch responds when he returns from his shoulder surgery. Lehoux shows moments of brilliance sandwiched in between long periods of adequacy.

From what I've seen at 30 +/- games this season, Steve Kelly is one of the top 2-way centers in the league. He and Rosa are having great seasons, but apparently what they bring to the mix is of no interest to the folks that make the decisions in LA.

Hope this helps some. Reggie and Bingo might have different perspectives which I'm sure they'll share if they do.
