I wouldn't even make the deal for:
O'Byrne, Grabovski and Halak.

O'Byrne needs more ice time and we should sign Halak to a 2 year deal. In 2 years deal him out and you'll get a lot more for him.
Grabovski i wouldn't mind losing as I really don't see anything in this kid.
He runs out of gas to fast, can't stick handle, and makes unwise decision.

Higgins in the deal including the above, I would have told Wadell, give me Kovelchuk instead of Hossa and you have a deal.

Imagine...

Other than questionable decision-making at the NHL level, you completely mis-described Grabovski.

If Waddell offered that to me, my response would have been, "Instead of Higgins, how about I give you this..."

Then I would have reached into my jacket pocket and pulled out the middle finger.

I would've kicked him in the nuts, spit on him and then allowed Higgins to curbstomp him.

Really now?
I'm guessing he's proven otherwise seeing how he tried taking on 4 players at the blue line alone only to cough up the puck and leading to a 2 on 1 in favour of Atalanta.

In 2 years he won't be here unless he changes his game. Plus I'd rather have Chipchura in the line up seeing as he is suposedly the next 'Captain'

Hmm...Grabovski in 13 games has 2pts a -4 and 13 shots. 31.7% on face-offs.
Yup my evaluation is wrong.

Grabovski is a great stickhandler, is an amazing dangler and is fast and does not run out of gas that easily compared to other players on our team.

All you are is proving his questionable decision making, which I agreed with you on?

It seems the deal in place was O'Byrne, Grabovski and Halak going to the Thrashers and Hossa and Hedberg was going the other way.

After Penguin's offer, Waddell called back Gainey and asked for Higgins to be included in the offer since he had Armstrong on the Penguin side.

Gainey refused.

Thought you might like to know.
Good.

I didn't like the first offer either. Hopefully this is all just a bunch of made up crap.

It also proves he sucks at stickhandling cause he couldn't beat 4 guys.

Huet was gone anyways, Hedberg would of been Halak's replacement if that was the deal in place.

I just don't think he's going to make it. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong on that one.

He does it in the AHL. Matter of time before he does it in the NHL.

Dude thats COLD. I'm laughing though trying to picture it in my head. Gainey and Higgins tag-teaming Waddell... over a trade proposal. I don't like how he tried to rob us though.

Higgins O'bryne Grabo and Halak!!!!!!!!!! and you won't let me talk to Hossa!!!!!!!!!!!!
are you nuts.

I don't why Waddell did not ask for both Kost brs and the last kicker.

So he got a 1st ( now 30th) a project prospect, a 9 goal scorer and another 9 goal guy

How is he an incredible stick handler and dangler?

The only thing he did good last night was win 5 of 9 face offs.

Can't blame the guy. You should do everything you can to get the most out of your assets and you can't deny that he did pretty well for himself.

Grabovski is a shrimp who didn't do anything in the NHL at age 24. Esposito will be in the NHL at 24. Mark my words.

Higgins is better than Armstrong, but not that much. stop overrating a player who will score 30 goals in his prime. He's good but (very) far from the elite.

I also don't see how O'Byrne > Christensen. At best, O'Byrne will be a #4 dman. at best, Christensen will be a 2nd line center able to score 30 goals per season.

Wow?
Hat-trick in the AHL vs a pretty mediocre goalie named Pogge.

The last time he got a point was in Oct in the NHL. Ya he's only played 13 games but there is a reason why he's been riding the pine and why he was sent down.

I'd rather have Chipchura, Ryan White or Janne Lahti up with the big boys then a player that can control the puck in the AHL but in the NHL disappears.

If he was so talented BG wouldn't have even thought about trading him and believe me, Bob's scouting staff is probably just as good as Kenny Holland's group.
