in this scenario, id rather lose straka from the lineup, gain some cap flexibility and upgrade our defense.

perhaps something like...

Avery Dubinsky Jagr
Dawes Gomez Cherepanov
Drury Anisimov Callahan
Sjostrom Betts Korpikoski/Orr (depending on if the other team has an enforcer)

Upgraded defenseman/Rozsival Staal
Tyutin Girardi
Backman Sanguinetti/Upgraded defenseman

man oh man, thats one strong right side.

though let me say, i dont think anisimov makes this team next year. i think Korpedo, Cherepanov, and Jessiman (as a bench player) have the best chance.

i think the rangers have to give sjostrom a very good opportunity to play on the upper lines to see if his offense can kick in soon before he gets too old....

There's only one I can think of in the league right now and his name is Chris Pronger. I'm fairly certain he won't EVER be available again.

Welcome to the boards, Jimmy!

Ryan Hillier scored 2 goals and assisted on another in a 6-2 game one win.

Sanguinetti is the PP QB of the future.

Signing Orpik to be the 6th d-man to replace Mara would be good too

where's prucha

Drury - Dubinsky - Jagr
Dawes - Anisimov - Cherry
Prucha- Gomez - Avery
Callahan - Betts - Sjostrom

screw straka-let him shanny and rozy walk and try to sign campbell...gomez and AA could be interchangeable(so AA could be with cherry)...or you could drop both AA and cherry to the 3rd but neither of them are really "3rd liners", especially cherepanov...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...and would you rather have cherepanov as a 3rd liner or wait another year to bring him over???or send him to hartford???

get rid of prucha dn no need for an RFA....sjostrom and callahan can move up and you need a spot for orr....

avery-dubi-jagr
sjostrom-gomez-dawes
callahan-drury-straka/korpikoski
byers/jessiman-betts-orr

i think straka will retire and korpikoski will get a shot on that wing, or drury will move to wing and anisimov will move in, or cheraponov will make the team....either way there seems to be 2 spots for new guys which is a good amount for the season with about 5-6 players having a real shot(anisimov, cheraponov, byers, jessiman, moore, korpikoski)

Sanguinetti's team lost again to go down 2-0 in the series.

Final score 3-2OT, Sanguinetti had another primary assist on a tying goal late in the 3rd.

Looks like Bobby's coming to HFD a lot sooner then later

The Colts have had the Battalion's number all season, I'm not surprised that Brampton is struggling.

Ryan Hillier had a goal and 2 assists in a 11-1 game 2 victory. His team is up 2 games to 0.

Is it best of 7 or 5 series?

I was read about Brampton's inability to beat Barrie in the playoff last week and didn't think much of it............

Barrie has knocked out Brampton out of the playoffs for two straight seasons. It could be three straight seasons

The Central Division's top team plays host to the No. 7-seeded Colts in Game 1 of their OHL Eastern Conference best-of-seven quarter-final series at the Bunker tonight. The puck drops at 7 p.m. For the Battalion, who were swept by the Colts in the opening round of last year's playoffs and lost a conference semifinal series to Barrie in five games the previous year, drawing inspiration won't be difficult

Wonder if the Rangers scouts like Bobby Sanguinetti's teammate Cody Hodgson who has two goals in the playoffs for Brampton

Quote:
12 Cody Hodgson; C, Brampton Battalion
Hockey smarts and high IQ are important, and this kid has them in spades. He understands the game and sees it so well that a long, productive career is guaranteed
