Haven't seen a pack game in a bit, but so much to like...Korpikoski is finally showing some consistency which should make him a good candidate for the big team next year or a trade chip......Also really like what I'm hearing about Jessiman...No, he'll vever make good on that 1st round pick, but looks like he is now consistently doing the physical and tough stuff (protection, fighting, drawing penalties) required of an NHL 3rd-4th liner (His skill for that level was not a question)...But like Korp and others, it's all about consistently doing it always..

Good win last night for the Pack against an abysmal Norfolk team. It could have been easy to look past that game for tonight's rivlary game against Manchester, but they took care of the game at hand.

I wouldn't be surprised to see LeNeveu make his Pack debut tonight.

I know you have all the answers Squishy
You are very knowlagable
The knee injury he suffered required season-ending knee injury, but I haven't heard anything about it being career-ending. Apart from that I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you, since my knowledge of the Rangers prospects doesn't go much further than those playing in Hartford and Russia. So I can't comment on Barnes as I've never seen him play, but hopefully someone else here can chime in (bmoak?)

he has had a rash on injuries since turning pro. ionly played like 20 games last year before his season was over.

really the jury is still way out. i know the rangers like him a lot and even was looking at him at his draft year. hopefully next year he is injury free

I'm really liking the separate threads for the Pack and the rest. It's tremendous to see the Squishy reports and other opinions from those consistantly getting the B2 feeds. I have to say I'm pretty pumped to see Korpedo putting up the points, especially the goals. He will be in a good position to earn a 3rd line spot next year. The Pack have really impressed all season.

After all the crying people did over this trade, I'd say it's worked out pretty well for us. Cullen never fit into our system and if we kept him, then Dubinsky would still be in Hartford. And don't forget, we also got a 3rd round pick in that trade.

Pierre Parenteau scouting Report

Can some who watches the Pack alot give us a scouting report on Pierre Parenteau.

Does he have NHL potential or is he one of these players like jason Krog or Alexandre Giroux that puts up good numbers in the AHL but his game wont translate to the NHL?

Thanks

Just an interested fan.

de·ba·cle (d-bäkl, -bkl, db-kl)
noun

1. A sudden, disastrous collapse, downfall, or defeat; a rout.
2. A total, often ludicrous failure or fiasco.
3. The breaking up of ice in a river.
4. A violent flood.

It is a debacle in the true meaning of the word. Because if you trade someone that is an asset - regardless of cap space and FA signings - you are obliged to maximize your payback. We did not. We could have gotten a whole lot better. We did not. Your points make sense. So do mine.

Cap space is one of the assets we acquired in the trade. That isn't free in today's NHL (see-Vladimir Malahov)

BBK... "Not maximizing payback" doesn't seem to fit any of those definitions...

What exactly do you think we should have got for him? He cost us nothing in terms of prospects or picks and we traded him for 2 prospects and a pick. Sounds like a win to me. He's not as good as you seem to think he is.

But, to get this back on topic, Hartford and Manchester tied at 1 after 1. Byers with his 19th on the power play from Hutchinson and Pock.

LeNevue is in net, just had a good save on a breakaway.

Byers has surprised me more than just about any Ranger prospect in recent years....with the exception of Dubinsky. I do not get a sure feeling of where he would fit into a future Ranger line up, but he's been impressive so far.

watching the game vs. the Monarchs..

1-1 beginning of the 3rd.. the Pack on the PK, was 5 on 3..

Korpikoski is faaaaaaast..

Anisimov is a big guy.. doesn't look too skinny at all..

Parenteau has pretty solid moves and stickhandling..

Leneveu seems to be doing pretty well. looks strong on the skates and looks like he's really into the game

its not that he cant play at that size....its that if he gains some size, he will only be that much better

hmm, 2-1 Monarchs..

looked like a dubious goal. first shot was stopped by Leneveu but then it seemed a lot of guys were in the way. pushed into the goal.. fans are booing..

Leneveu was pretty emphatic saying that it was gloved in..

oh, agreed.. he has some weight to gain to be sure but i'd expected him to definitely be much thinner from what i've heard.

ooh nice breakup by Dupont, gets on a semi break away and just got a little shot off. nice heads up play..

2 on 1 for Pock and Anisimov, Pock took it all the way and took the shot. saved..

The Pack seem to be very good at pouncing, and applying good pressure.. they throw the puck on net when they have to.

PP for the Pack..

Potter draws one.. Cliche (remember him?) takes it..

Monarchs have the worst PK in the league, and yet the Pack can't do much.. nothing doing on that one..

Gratton getting feisty with a couple Monarch players..

earlier one of the Monarchs players clipped Leneveu in the mask and some guys on the Pack came to his aid, it's nice to see them take care of their goalie, the new guy
