OT: not suddendeath?

Reading Conn Smythe's biography he mentions OT wasn't suddendeath way back when and "we scored 3 OT goals to win 6-3". How do you think having to play the full 5 minutes of OT even if someone scored would impact entertainment? Would we get more or less excitement out of it?

I definitely like it the way it is, you play ALL OUT, BALLZ OUT going for broke in OT...

you have it go the full 5 instead of sudden death, and it simply becomes an additional period, albeit shorter, of semi-normal play.

We don't need 4 periods, we need sudden death.

Leave it the way it is, it works GREAT the current way!
