HELP - In St. John's NL on vacation

And I'm in desparate need of a hab fix. I have missed the game vs the Thrashers and the game vs Buffalo this week. I must watch the game tonight somewhere.

Since the horrible Leafs are the national game this week in this region, does anyone know of a good sports bar or somewhere so I can go watch the game tonight?

Firstly, LOL at vacationing in St. John's in March...secondly, I can't offer any advice except George St. will undoubtedly have one if not two or twenty-two pubs dedicated to the Habs.

Being in a pub down on George on a Saturday night it will be next to impossible to catch the habs game but if anyone knows one that is dedicated to the habs or has a sattelite please let me know.

The Sundance has a big screen that usually has a game on, but usually CBC. It will be very hard to sit and enjoy the game on George Street.

If you really want to watch the game, goto Don Cherry's. There are 2 locations.

well if you have access to a tv with cable, watch the game on RDS (ch. 32)...cbc is channel 3. as JWhelan said, the game should be played at Don Cherry's (on Freshwater Road...another in Mt. Pearl but don't know the address). Hope this helps a bit. Enjoy your stay!

I called the Don Cherry's on Freshwater road and the girl said they'd be showing both the MTL and TOR games tonight, but she sounded a bit clueless so I dunno.

And if cable here has RDS that is excellent news (although a bit disappointing because I couuld have watched the other 2 games).

Thanks for all your help!

Yep, RDS is definitely a part of cable in St. John's. If worse comes to worse, you can always listen to the game online. I have been traveling through South America for the past month with work, and I haven't missed a game yet :-) . Got to love internet radio. I am in Trinidad as we speak, and I can't wait for tonights game.

Yeah not sure why St. John's has RDS on cable but im happy we do. Like someone said before its channel 32. George St option wouldnt be a bad idea since the game starts 8:30 and the clubs do not really get crowded until 11:30 to 12. Weird to be here in the march vacationing. But i hope you enjoy your stay

If your going to Don Cherry's you will probably have to ask them to put the habs game on. I think they also have little tv's in some of the booths so you can watch it on that. Sun dance would probably be the best bar as well to watch the game and once thats over your in the best bar on george st. Sun dance is joined onto two other bars that have live bands or you can stay in the sun dance and dance with the cougars

try the local bath, a guy named jason will wear a leafs jersey and a rubber ball in his mouth and allow you to beat him while yelling disparaging remarks at him as you wear a habs jersey
