'72 Summit Series Players..

Can anyone tell me about former Soviet Union players Alexander Volchkov, Vyacheslav Anisin, Yury Blinov, Yegeny Zimin, and Alexander Yakushev?

Also who was the Olympic team goaltenders in 1992?

The reason I ask is I am playing a game against these players in Canada next week. The team also includes Alexander Semak, and Evgeny Davydov.

I was just wondering how good these players were back in the day?

Semak and Davydov were 2 really talented players. Davydov had a good season in 92-93 with the jets and I think semak might have a ring with 95 Jersey

*Yakushev is, of course, a living legend.
*Zimin was a good little player with great speed. Same goes for Anisin.
*Blinov had loads of potential early on but eventually didn't amount to much.
*Volchkov's the father of Washington's 1996 draft bust by the same name.
*Semak scored the OT winner in game 1 of '87 Canada Cup - a serviceable 2/3 line player later in his career in NHL.
*Davydov's skill set was downright insane, but he had little between the ears...not a lot of hockey sense. Could probably put on a clinic in a charity/pick-up type game though.
*'92 starting goalies were Shtalenkov and Trefilov

I'll try to figure some more information out. I know that the "Moscow Bears" travel to a tournament abroad every year and this year they're in Vancouver. We are just playing a exhibition game before the tournament starts.

I've been told that they are a very skilled and smart team despite their age, but figured there'd be no better place to ask than here on these forums.

And the goaltender is Shatlenkov.
