Why did the Devils steal our song

They stole our ole ole ole. The Habs should have that song when they score. Can Gainey do something about it?

They chant it differently, with a Noo Yoke accent and we do it much better. Its already all over the NHL that we do the "Ole, ole, ole" better than anyone else...

I believe that was all the Habs fans chanting. Before the end of the game, Jersey fans all left and the chant became louder. Habs fans rock. Well, most 'em anyway.

It's not even our song. I've heard it in many arenas. People just assume it because they're weird.

The song is by Bouncing Souls, who are from New Jersey. So actually we stole it from them...

Actually, I think they sing "Awaye, Awaye...." not "Ole, Ole"

Awaye, loose translation: "come on, let's go, we are getting impatient"

Ole Ole Ole song has been the "song" for many many clubs all over the world for many many years in many many many different sports. Its not the habs song. Its a universal song chanted at many stadiums and arenas.

I like Coldplay's early stuff and everything but I have to admit I feel rather effeminate when I see our boys taking the ice to that tune. Can't help but think some of them have felt the same. Niinimaa anyone?
