1992-1993.

We had good chances a few years, but couldn't crack. The year against Carolina .. (2004??).. was one chance, but we just couldn't hold the series lead.

I think we had a 2nd round match against Buffalo in 1998, if I remember correctly. We outplayed them the whole series, but Hasek stood on his head.

Please, stop jinxing the playoffs!

Personally, I wouldn't bet on where the Habs will go during the playoffs. It really depends. I don't think we will do it up to the Conference Finals. Just a feeling...

Let's wish I am wrong.

That '02 series against Carolina still stings. IIRC those are the only 2 second round games we've won since the '93 cup. Swept by Buffalo ('98) and Tampa ('04).

If only Zeddy wasn't injured we probably would have made it to the EC finals that year

If memory recalls we were up 3-0 in the third period of game 3 with a 2-0 series lead and we had a Jose meltdown. We went onto loose 4 straight.

If I hadn't predicted the '86 AND '93 Cup runs BEFORE those years playoffs began, I would think that I was cursing this teams chances as well.

Funny story:

Before the '86 playoffs began, I was talking to a bunch of friends about how I felt the habs had a good chance in the upcoming playoffs, and this guy (Nords fan), told me the habs won't make it out of the first round, and that the Nords were going to make it all the way to the finals. We ended up betting $50 on both the habs/bruins series and the nords/whalers series (I was 16 at the time, and betting $100 at the time to me would be like betting $1000 NOW!!)

The best part about this whole thing was, after taking him for $100 in the opening series, he told me we could go double or nothing on the habs/whalers series. He bought himself a whalers jersey, which he wore before every habs/whalers game in the series. Well, needless to say I took him ANOTHER $100, and he got so pissed off that he bet me ANOTHER $100 on the habs/rangers series, and of course again for the habs/flames series.

After everything was said and done I took this clown for $400 (which again in 1986 to a 16 year old kid, might as well been $5000!!!!)

Weren't we up 3-0 going into the third? It was to take a stranglehold on the series. Think about it, if we won that series it would have been Montreal vs. Toronto in the conference final.
