What a crock this line is...

"Pour reprendre le célèbre Guy Lafleur, qui aura eu le mérite de réveiller le Canadien cet automne, le Tricolore compte sur un premier trio, un deuxième et deux troisièmes."

This line is a joke...

Brunet is saying that the credit for awakening the Canadiens last fall goes to Guy Lafleur.

I do remember a denigrating comment that Lafleur said about the Canadiens on a talk show last fall. He did say that our team had no 1st or 2nd line but two third & fourth lines.

Lafleur didn't wake our team, Carbonneau and the players woke themselves up.

Kovalev himself said he took it personaly. So it may have done SOMETHING. And I give zero respect to Carbo in that aspect.

Brunet is probably one of the best journalist if not the THE best in Montreal covering sports. He's been involved in a few controversial subject in recent years but that doesn't take away his skills, knowledge, etc...

Is that you Matthias??? LOL

Brunet has lost a lot of credibility over the past few years. A LOT.

I'd be very surprised when Kovalev's on the ice screams '' *****in Lafleur i'l show him Chara's no match'' when he's about to jump on the ice, Lafleur was just off like he is evreywhere, he's the biggest idiot superstar the NHL has ever had, he's what the journal of Montreal is all about, posting BS to get fires started

I think you are wrong, sometime you have to make such drastic comments to shake things.. Coming from Guy Lafleur, it has even more impact.. Lafleur isnt stupid, he just wanted our offensive players to wake up and generate more offense..
