I have season tickets in 311 the prices are crazy

1st rd=80.00 per ticket Last yr 65.00 per ticket

2nd rd=95.00 per ticket Last yr 75.00 per ticket

3rd rd=130.00 per ticket Last yr 87.00 per ticket

4th rd=205.00 per ticket Last yr 115.00 per ticket

So if they make it to the Finals for one game in sec 311 its 410.00 for two tickets

There is a salary cap, and we already spend to the limit. It will maybe go up 10% next year, while ticket prices will go up 15-20%, playoffs 70%. It's a joke, and it will always be supply and demand, regardless of a salary cap. Bettman propaganda during the lockout is seen everyday in this league.

apparently MSG is apart of yet another class action lawsuit

http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/st...04696135&EDATE

heres a big reason

Quote:
According to the Complaint: The Garden was originally opened in 1968 as
a state-of-the-art, multi-use sports and entertainment facility. In 1991,
the Garden underwent a major renovation to the entire facility during which
its main arena was extensively modified. Since the passage of the ADA 17
years ago, the Garden has made a number of alterations to its facilities
but, as the Government alleges in its Complaint, failed to comply with
federal law in doing so.

Under the terms of the Consent Decree, the Garden has agreed to provide
50 wheelchair and companion seats in the Arena. By November 4, 2007, the
Garden will provide two wheelchair and two companion seats on the Arena
floor for basketball games. For hockey games, concerts, and other events,
these seats will be provided no later than January 31, 2008. By October 1,
2008, the Garden will provide 48 additional wheelchair and companion seats
in locations dispersed throughout the Garden. The Garden will also install
20 accessible aisle seats in the Arena by January 31, 2008, and will
install another 40 accessible aisle seats by October 1, 2008.
thats the gist of it

I didn't receive my invoice yet, but I guess I'll be getting it soon. I'm in the 300's, and if we go deep in the playoffs, those tix will cost almost as much as I paid for 41 games in the regular season

Holy crap. If the Rangers played all 4 games in each series it'd be almost 10G's for 2 ticket.

Speaking of playoffs, does anybody have the picture from last year of the wall street bull dressed in a rangers jersey? Looked on google/yahoo and I can't find it. Thanks.

Rangers are still less expensive than most teams.

In MInnesota, tickets prices accelerate each round but the cheaper seats don't go as high as the better seats. In Carolina, where my son has tickets, they charge an obsecene amount for playoff tickets -- a far greater premium than New York. I think part of this is driven by the elimination of scalping laws. The Rangers (and other teams) know what tickets are being sold for on the streets and they are saying, why not? We want a piece of that action.

This is exactly what Dolan and crew see. To me it's a slap in the face to the people who support you night in, night out. 8 out of 15 teams make the playoffs, which gives you greater than 50% chance to make it. Shouldn't clubs be held accountable for that? I've actually called my rep the past three seasons to complain about it, and he agrees that they're trying to be on par with the StubHub's of the world, and though he keeps feeding me the company line, I could tell he knows it's outrageous. I'm not saying the price shouldn't go up in the post-season (it has since the early 80's), but to double, triple, and quadruple the price is crazy talk. They're pricing the common fan out of the building.

Yup. Just so give people an idea on the premium.

First round is 54% higher than our regular season face value
Second round is 99% higher than our regular season prices.
Conference finals are 176% higher than our regular season prices.
Stanley Cup Finals are 285% higher than our regular season prices.

thats the smartest thing anyone has said. these numbers are sure eye-popping, but the whole point of having season tix is going to every single home playoff game, and I will be there!

Well I guess I'll never get to go to a rangers playoff game. I almost got a chance to go last season, but with these prices, I'm not even going to hold out any hope that I'll see a game. Ticket prices are already ludicrous for regular season games. I can go to 7 mets games for the price of one first round ranger playoff game.
But, I'd much rather go to a first round playoff game than 7 mets games.

I got mine yesterday. OUCH!!!. After all those years of not making the playoffs, ill just about pay anything to see them in the playoffs.

It's crazy, even with the cap, tickets are moco bucks. I hate that Cablevision is our owners. Im sure it really doesnt matter who owns the team, tickets would still go up every year. When does it stop?
