Just win. There's nothing I'd like to see more than two points earned.

Sixty minutes of solid play, please. Fingers are crossed here.

A long time ago
my friend Johnny got suspended for wearing
an 'Islanders Suck' t-shirt.The teacher said to him,
"Young man, you will report to the office
and talk to the principal there."
The principal said to Johnny,
"I'm ashamed.
Where's your brain
to wear such a slogan in a public place?
I called your mom.
There she is right now. She said,
"Johnny...
What can I say?
I'm in a state
of dissarray.
You will be punished,
that's for sure.
But your father says he's proud
and the Rangers rule!"

I don't look at it as ending the islanders' playoff chances so much as ending them as a threat to the Rangers' playoff chances. If we win both games we will be ahead of them by 11 points and they will have 13 games left. It would take a monumental collapse for them to catch us.

If we lose both games they are still very much a threat to us at only 3 points back. To say these are critical games is an understatement.

My point is cheer the Rangers more than disparage the Islanders. If the Rangers take care of business everything else will take care of itself.

C'mon boys, let's put the biscuit in the basket, the stuffing in the turkey, the turkey in the oven, that car in the garage, the train in the station, and the cat in the hat. Because that's what it comes down to, putting the cat in the hat.

LET'S GO RANGERS!

Rangers-Islanders... should be a fun one.

If they play with the passion they've showed over the last 3 weeks, there's no reason they can't destroy these guys.

I think it's the 6 week sinus infection that's talking! Actually, that's from one of those "coach speak" commercials on the NHL Network. I forgot rod in the water and lightning in a bottle.

Tried embedding it, and I couldn't make it work.

Yeah, the first one was kind of funny, but they've gotten into Bobby Granger territory really quickly. It's so sad they're still having so much trouble selling ad space.

I love them. The best is the bewildered expression the coach has after he talks himself in circles.

From what I understand the funeral was yesterday and that he should be back for tonights game.

I'll see what the Isles site or Greg Logan is saying....

I don't get the NHL Network but I saw a bunch of them on YouTube yesterday. The idea of an ad campaign with a goofy coach giving pep talks and media interviews is a great concept, but the writing is simply not funny. We get it, coaches use cliches. But after 10 seconds or so of each one, it becomes obvious that it's not going anywhere. They get pretty tough to watch after 20 seconds, which makes the minute long ones just brutal.
