The DP grandmother thing has me really worried about tonight's game. He always steps it up against us anyway, but when you add the sentimentality factor in, I can picture him putting up a 40-save performance.

Condolences for DiPietros grandmother, but you know he will be back in net tonight. I'm expecting a 2-1 or 3-2 game.

If we get over 40 shots on goal with the way we have been playing lately I'm not worried about the scoreboard.

watch now 2-0 for the islanders lol JK. Dubie is a good goalie this wont be easy. maybe we should put Vally in net and Lundqvist on the Road.

With the Islanders, I always feel like the challenge is to make sure that you create quality chances. Dubiewwzzzyxx is a decent goalie, but it's not so much a matter of worrying about him than it is dealing with the Islanders defense. If the Rangers can generate the scoring chances, they'll get the goals

As good a backup as Dubie is, I'm thrilled not to face DP. I just wish it was for a different reason.

DP has killed us the last two years: 11 GP; 7-2-2; 2.09 GAA; .938 SV%

Yeah. That explains the 4 the Rangers hung up on Nitti.

Um, if we actually did lose 6-1, it would have nothing to do with a backup goalie stoning us. You don't win games when you give up 6 goals.

Agree that we need to stay out of the box though, but I guess that goes without saying really. Hopefully Backman keeps his stick down.

Sounds like Orr is in, despite what the first post of the GDT says

your raggies are going to destroy the isles tonight. just a hunch.

the bright side is that we will inch closer to the stamkos race.

I clearly remembering us losing to you guys in a shootout last year with Dubie in net cause dumb Nylander decided to not lift the puck, but yes we will win!!!!

Wow, the Rangers have scored 30 goals in their last 7 games, a sizzling 4.29 GPG average! Let's keep it up, boys!

Expect to see Christian Backman getting some time on the point on the power play. “He moves the puck, he has his head up, he puts it where it needs to be,” Tom Renney said. Now if only he can avoid taking a penalty in the process….
From Sam. Wonder how this will turn out.
