They still have a few more kids to add before they officially announce it.

Did you have a particular name in mind? Give me three names, and I can tell you yes or not yet.

Good to see Clare made it so far. I figured he would. Good player.

Not yet, meaning they will be invited, just havent been notified. Or not yet, meaning they may or may not get invited.

Any other Atlantic District players besides Clare? To be honest, Im shocked only 1 of those 4 have been invited, but i know there is a great crop of midwest and west coast US 1992 born players.

USA Hockey is still trying to figure out who else to invite, so those guys may or may not get an invite.

I count seven invitees from east of the Great Lakes.

Nope, this camp is just for 1992's and a handful of 1991's. The 1992's will comprise next season's U17 team, while the 1991's will vye for spots vacated by defectors.

I only ask as Peter Mueller and Jim OBrien played with the year above. Although it looks like they are not doing that anymore.

Theres too many good 92s.

Good chance they will lose 93s Jacobs and McColgan to WHL though.

Mueller and O'Brien were already selected for the U17 team, but were good enough that they were participating with the U18 team. The players Mueller and O'Brien went to tryout camp with were of the same birthyear.

Schroeder did the same thing last year. Morin is doing the same thing this year.

That's not true. Mueller and O'Brien participated in selection camps as underagers and made the U17 team as underagers. Guys like Phil McCrae, Chad Morin, Adam Pineault and Patrick O'Sullivan joined the program in the same manner. Others, like Rob Schremp, participated in the selection camp as underagers but chose not to join the program.

I would say that in most cases 15 year olds are better off waiting a year to join the program with the goal of joining the U18 team in mid-season. Then again, Pat Kane never played up in the program and he certainly didn't suffer for it.

93's are not allowed to play in the WHL next year. They can only get drafted. If they are good enough they will be asked to go to the rookie camps in order to start preparing for the following year.

'93s can sign a contract though, and play in like 5 games, so enough to scrap their NCAA eligibility.

There's a couple guys that are trying out mentioned here: http://westerncollegehockey.blogspot...hl-drafts.html

At one point, all the Minnesota kids trying out was published, but it looks like that got taken down.

The scouting news is reporting that 1, 2 or all 3 of the 93's will be invited to camp now.

Those 3 are Shane McColgan, Rocco Grimaldi and Colin Jacobs.

It sounds like that isn't the case.

Who I know

Who is going to be there? I can name a lot of kids and I am sure on most of these;
Tynan
Mersch
Carruth
Iles
Gunn
Knight
Merril
Moffat
Zucker
Aleardi
Higgins
Watson
Nieto
Sooth
McMinimy
Fallon
Saad
Balisy
Rust
Sinelli
Accetura
Lippincott
Johns
St. Clair
Campbell

That is all I know, and am not totally sure but pretty sure about those 25 names. Who are the other 21 because 46 are being invited. And in my opinion those 93s definitely could make the team or would be fine going to the tryouts, becuase they are all exceptional.

You've forgotten all of the Minnesotans. There are at least eight of them, nine if you count the kid from Shattuck (native Californian). I've got the name of one more Minnesotan besides these, but I'm not 100% sure on it.
