GDT: Blue Jackets @ Flames, 7:00 MST (Sportsnet West/Fan 960)

Columbus Blue Jackets: 30-27-10, 3rd in Central, 11th in Westen Conference

@

Calgary Flames: 34-23-9, 2nd in Northwest , 6th in Western Conference

The season series is tied at 1-1, with the Flames winning the most recent game between these clubs; 3-1 on December 18th.

Pre-Game report:
http://flames.nhl.com/team/app?gameN...8&service=page

The Flames won their previous game and Columbus lost their last tilt against Edmonton on March 2nd.

According to Rob Kerr's blog, Miikka Kiprusoff will start for the Flames. Tanguay should be back in the line-up, and Conroy appears to be a game-time decision, though don't be suprised if he sits this one out.

All eyes will be on Iginla as he seeks to break the all-time goal scoring record for the Flames franchise. He is currently tied for first with Theoren Fleury with 364. Iginla has scored a goal in each of the games against Columbus this season.

I called it in the thread a while back and I'm calling it again tonight: David Hale will score his 1st NHL goal tonight. Book it.

A much needed win tonight, and let's keep our fingers crossed that COL/VAN is decided in regulation.

GO FLAMES GO!!!

Here's hoping we see a solid effort tonight followed by a win. As well as Iginla scoring tonight to put him past Fleury.

GO FLAMES (AND IGGY) GO!

I'm glad to hear Conroy's injury isn't serious, but I hope he doesn't rush back too soon, at the risk of making it worse.

I'm not sure how this game will play out since the Blue Jackets seem kind of schizophrenic. Still, my instincts tell me this'll be a Flames win.

I may not have internet or cable at home in my new place but still hoping I'm not disappointed.

Go Flames Go!

Looks like we're healthy. Tanguay is back, Conroy is only out for a few games (if that from all reports) and Moss is coming back. I want us to pound the snot out of them and win 8-0. Iggy with a hatrick to blow by Theo and get closer to 50, a Kipper shutout and Hale's first goal. The perfect storm tonight.

kind of? We're all over the place bro. You'll either shut us out, or Nash and Zerdev will score 3 or 4 between the two. I have no idea which Blue Jackets are going to show up on any given night, but the trend since the ASG has been strong play on the road(4-2-1 over the last 7 road games) and terrible at home. Leclaire is relatively consistent, so I don't expect a terribly high scoring affair given the styles of the teams and the level of net minding between Kipper and Pascal.

I predict a 3 point game.

probable CBJ lines:

Nash - Peca - Brule
Chimera - Malhotra - Zherdev
Fritsche - Murray - Boll
MacKenzie - Novotny - Vyborny

Klesla - Hejda
Hainsey - Tarnstrom
Rome - Russell

Leclaire in net.

As Nordique said, we don't know which team will show up tonight. It hasn't seemed like we've missed Foote and Fedorov at all though.

I am really rooting for an inspired effort tonight. Good news on the injury front. It'll be nice to have Tanguay back. I hope Boyd stays in an offensive role. Anyways it would do me right to see the Flames take this one down and the Wild lose tonight.

Jermain Franklin reported on TSN Ice Chips that Cory Sarich will be a healthy scratch again tonight, and Eric Nystrom will take Marcus Nilson's place in the lineup.

This is the type of game the Flames should win, but we all know what happens when they 'should' win.

Go flames go, we need a big win tonight!

yikes
I get the one game to send a message, but two in a row?
I think that's pushing it too far

Meh, they're calling it a healthy scratch, but the guy did have the flu recently not to mention pretty major dental work, he is not 100%

Exactly. I didn't like the fact, that Hrudey told everyone on HNIC that Sarich was a healthy scratch, but didn't mention his recent health issues.

How has he done lately? I have to admit that I haven't watched your team that often so far this season, but judged by Brule's numbers, he's still not able to justify the hype around him in 2005.

Getting outshot by this margin at home against the Blue Jackets is not what I expected from the Flames.
