Kings, Oilers trade proposal

I know Edmonton is not having a firesale but if they are going to trade Smyth then they may consider trading Dvorak. The Kings and the Oilers are not the best of trading partners but since the Kings need D help here is my proposal.

Dvorak is actually a RW, and the guy that works his but off for the Oilers every night. I bet Lowe would do a Smith for Camelleri trade without thinking twice.

#1 - If the Oilers trade Smyth, why would they then trade Dvorak? I'm not quite sure I understand that.

#2 - Since the Kings need D, you say, they should get Dvorak? Again, I don't follow.

I think the deal that would work the best would be Cammalleri for Jason Smith. LA would have to throw in a pretty decent pick as well though.

The main problem is, would Kevin Lowe trade to a Western Conference team?

I'd think so. The difference between what Comrie could do for a team and Jason is quite a bit different. Sure it would be tough to play against him, but I think it would be worth it in the long run.

I don't think the Oilers would do the original deal. Dvorak has been part of their best line thusfar.

Comrie would still be an Oiler if it was all based on skill, so Cammalleri wouldn't be a bad idea.

Wow, thanks. I thought Dvorak plays D. Did he come from NY in the Carter trade?

Assuming LA can afford to add salary, and I don't see why they couldn't fit in Dvorak's salary, they would be ALL OVER this one. Zizka is likely worth a mid-round pick at best. He has some offensive upside, but likely won't be anything special at the NHL level. likely a 7th D-man who gets PP time. That for Dvorak is a gift for LA.
