Not to mention no one would want them separately anyway.

I find them overrated, I don't think they are worth what they would cost.

They can't produce without each other...

I don't know, me I would trade them for Jokinen and something else off the Panther Roster.

Notice I said what they would cost. Of course they are bargains right now, but they will likely demand 6 million + per each after next season, which is money that goes to cornerstones of hockey clubs. IMO, they aren't the players to build a franchise around.

ppg first line players????

do you build a franchise around that??? hmm maybe not.
You build around Luongo, crosby, malkin, ao, .maybe even a player like spezza...

BUT

the sedins are as advertised....ppg players that also bring a bit more than offense to the table. at 7 million for both is an amazing bargain. The canucks invested much time into them waiting for them to develop..plus the fact that they sign together hurts their bargaining position. When they resign, it wont be for more than 6 million. It will be somewhat like 5.5 per per

I remember one time someone posted a trade proposal between Vancouver and Washington titled "van wash prospal". Naturally, I thought Vaclav Prospal had retired and started washing vans for a living.

I think Van should hold on to them and add a top line guy like Hossa. They are going to have to start getting active in the FA market to fix the scoring problem.

Not that it really matters. I've just heard this a lot, but I don't know of anyone who has seen them play apart for more than a few games, and not more than, what, one or two in a row?

Don't listen to my fellow 'Nuck fans who want to trade the Sedin twins. They basically form our entire offense and some of you kiddies want to trade them?

This isn't NHL '08, you have to keep most of the players you draft and develop. They are entering their prime, and I don't think we would get equal value for them anyways. They are PPG players who are defensively responsible, while being very adept on the PP.

They wont want to split up so they will take a discount and continue to be bargains.

Earlier in their careers Crawford was more "experimental" when he played them. Splitting them up, putting Bertuzzi on their wing, ect ect.

Vigneault just lets them play their own type of game now.

They are the type that would fit in here in Chicago. I wouldnt over pay for them because they arent worth over payment. Id do an 09 1st rounder, Borque and a mid level prospect for the package.

Maybe if the rumours are true Vinny Lecavalier for a couple of sedins and a good prospect or high pick.
