Where do the scratched Rangers sit?

At MSG, where do the Rangers who are scratched sit during the game? I looked around recently but didn't see anyone. Maybe they should take a page from Avery's book and come visit with the fans!

They usually sit in the press box that's kind of in front of the 400s.

Some go upstairs and watch from way way up there if you remember the "Black Aces club"

Some sit in the arena like Avery and move around from place to place, but most of the scratched players sit in the "Green Room" which is a lounge for scratches and players' family with plasmas, buffet line, bar, private bathrooms and a staircase connected to the locker room area downstairs from it.

I know that because ive been in there a few times.

How do you get access to the green room? Do you have to pose as a player's BFF?

You have to be family or know a player, or someone important to get in there.

In my case, my brother works with Colton Orr's father in law and he was nice enough to set us up with Colton when he was scratched a lot last season and the one before right after he was traded to NY. I watched a few games with him in the green room, very down to earth guy. After the game almost the entire team congregated up in there and i was shocked to be mingling with the entire team and their families in the matter of minutes as player after player made their way up the staircase.

They might also be up in the GM's booth, which is called the Eyebrow. My brother and I did a "GM for the day" thing 4 or 5 years ago and Messier was up there along with Sather and Maloney nursing a wrist injury.

I think that booth is the highest you can get in the arena. I remember there being a really steep and narrow spiral staircase to get up there. I was afraid of busting my ass on those stairs. I wonder how Slats does it for every game.

I thought it was going to be along the lines of "When will they be back in the lineup?" and "Who will they displace?"

That's where opposing scratches sit. The Rangers players sit up in the GM's box. Just think about where the Black Aces used to sit and that's where they are now.

I'm pretty sure they sit in that box all the way at the top where Sather and Steve Mills sit. At least some of the time.
