Actually, I am a Sens fan first obviously, but I never cheer against the Habs. Only team I cheer against are the Leafs. Honestly, id rather sneak into the playoffs second or third and avoid the expectations. You Habs fans take the conference lead way to seriously.
Well you guys are used to it. You've finished 1st several times since the last Hab #1 finish in 1988-89. Of course, you've also finished last 4 more times
Surprisingly getting bigger. I (assistant) coach in my little town (edit: upper elementary/lower junior high level... whatever it is they are calling it), and have practiced/played with one of the teams in the league here. There are some former AHLers playing here, so the calibre isn't too bad. The goalies, however, are hoooorrible. Fukufuji >>>>>>>>>> the next best goalie in Japan, lol.
Yeah, totally! There is also a slightly lower level league that a few of my friends down in Kobe and Osaka play for, and a few roller hockey leagues, so lots of options for hockey addicts... although most of it is too far for me to persue regularly (2 hours+ one way on a train.. ). I have to make due with local roller hockey and shinny with the other coaches and our friends. Could be worse. Snow doesn't even fall in over half the country, after all.
