Yes this was an important win, and it's great to be back in first, but I think we're overlooking the real story of the night:

Leafs now only 6 points out of a playoff spot.

That's Hockey should spend the whole show on it tomorrow

Kings up 1-0 on the Sens...would be nice to be 2 up on Ottawa with the game in hand. LA has lost like 5 or 6 in a row, it would also be very good if they won tonight. I hate playing teams on long losing streaks, they are due.

Price Totally stole this game for us... .Say what you want about the 2nd goal but if not for Price we lose this game Bruins style ... Also he made a bunch of good saves to keep us up 1, right before the 4th goal.

Kovalev is amazing, especially on the PP.

Yet we're going in the playoffs with kids and their slingshots.

Frankly, can't blame Price on the 2nd goal. He saw nothing. Lucky goal if anything.

Outshot 39-20. Uggggly. Thrilled that we got two points but guys, get your legs. Get your hands. Find your awareness.

And really, the question that stumps us all. How on earth does Smoke deserve a roster spot over Chip? It is beyond me. Waive his ass, hell dismiss Dandy with him. They hurt my poor eyes.

Other than the 2nd goal, Price was amazing.

Tough Western trip. They don't have their mojo. Don't be too hard on them.

Meh,I honestly think the Coyotes should've won this one as they basically outplayed and outworked the Habs for most of the game, they were essentially controlling the play in the offensive zone. That being said,Montreal capitalizing on their scoring opportunities and Price responding extremely well to a mediocre performance in SJ have basically turned into our advantage. The 3rd period has been the best by far for Montreal. They've played just just good enough in general to win in extremis. In this case, even if it was a boring game and the Canadiens actually got outperformed, only the 2 points secured matter.

Oh,and complete disgraceful attitude displayed by some Yotes players. No absolute need to do that.

Maybe they should send the wives on the first flight back to Montreal.

I didn't get Mcgeouh's decision at the end of the game. Morris and Kostitsyn were penalized at the same time, so the penalties are cancelled, but Jovanovski was still in the box. So why was it a 4 on 4?

Do yourself a favour and don't look at Anaheim's goals for over the last 120 minutes. And guess who plays them next.

Cause Mcgeouh's an idiot and he's always been dangerous whenever he's officiating an MTL game.

yeah, it looked weak, but if other teams have to rely on slippit in right under the crossbar like that I'll take it. Price probably should have stopped it, but really it was just perfectly place, wasn't too much he could do.

Yeah, I think they messed up there. Just checked the box score too, and it looks like it should have been 4 on 3.

Especially Mcgeouh insisting on Carbo when he was making a "four" sign with his hand

Good game by price; we needed him tonight and he delivered.

The rest of the team though... was sleepwalking for 90% of the game.

But hey, that's how we know we're a good team; we played like crap and still won.
