Rheaume's comments

I would appreciate anyone's input and thank you in advance on this. I heard that Rheaume had some parting shots about the how the Rangers were flawed as an organization. (Go figure) Could some one post the link of his comments? Thanks again.

Where did you hear this? I haven't heard or seen any comments.

If this is true (and I have not heard anything about this) I love the way that these players who were mid season FA signings who leave via waivers or trades love to bad mouth the Rangers on the way out. Gee Pascal, you certainly didn't seem to mind when you were out of a job. Punk!

are you thinking of the guy on phoenix?
i forget his name.

im pretty sure if pascal was badmouthing the rangers in a public forum, the ny press would have picked it up.

A friend of mine mentioned the same thing at lunch yesterday. It seemed like he was complaining that the players who had the big contracts were guaranteed ice time no matter what, while the lesser paid players never got a fair chance regardless of play or effort."

This is a secondhand account, so take it as you will. Looking for a link...

I don't think we need Rheaume or any other player to tell us that. Hasn't it been obvious for years that big contracts play no matter what?

I don't really care. Not one former Ranger who chose to make a comment gave anything but cold hard facts about the situation here. Not sure that qualifies as "bad mouthing".

Read his comments....

...yet cannot recall where they were printed.
He said something to the effect that he "was never assigned a role on the team."

after coming from NJ, I could only imagine what Paschal thought of the NYR. When Holik leaves, watch out, I think he'll write a book about what kind of joke the NYR are and have been for the last few years.

Mike Richter=True Warrior. He was better than Brodeur and if he stayed healthy, the Rangers would be a playoff team now.

Um, I like Richter as much as the next guy, but I doubt even a healthy Richter in 2004 could carry this team to the playoffs. He had a multitude of opportunities to do so since 1997 and failed.

Well he should be ashamed of himself since 97 he's seen such quality defenseman as Jay More, Chris Tamer, Rmun Ndur, Dave Karpa and slew of other gems help him out.

How can anyony NOT win with both Igor Ulanov and Dave Karpa in the lineup at the same time?

And let's not forget that Richter continuing playing after tearing up his knee at the All-Star game in 2000--all in the hopes of helping the Rangers get into the playoffs.
