The Flames are on a two game winning streak, and the Preds lost their last tilt against Vancouver last night.
Miikka Kiprusoff will start for the Flames, which should come as no suprise after he stopped all 39 shots against Columbus on Tuesday night. No word on the starting goalie for the preds, though my guess is Chris Mason will be in net, after Dan Ellis got blitzed for 3 goals on 11 shots against Vancouver.
EDIT: My guess was horribly incorrect. According to the Pred board, Ellis will start tonight for Nashville.
Other injuries to note: Martin Gelinas, Steve Sullivan, and Jed Ortmeyer are all out for the Preds.
Cory Sarich is expected to play in tonights game, not sure who he is replacing, hard to guess, one would think Warrener, but he's been alright, so it could be David Hale who sits for the flames.
All eyes will be on Jarome Iginla again as he seeks to break the all-time goal scoring record for the Flames franchise. He is currently tied for first with Theoren Fleury with 364. Iginla has scored 3 goals against Nashville this season.
A much needed win tonight, as Vancouver won last night and with Minnesota losing last night as well, we have an opportunity to distance ourselves a little bit.
GO FLAMES GO!!!

Reason: Starting goalie confirmed
Things got a little testy in Vancouver last night so Nashville will carry a lot of emotion into this game.
Also with Minnesotas loss last night we now sit 1st in the NW cause of our game in hand, so a win is needed tonight.
I can't beleive we are 3rd in the west (1st in the NW) but Nashville is only 3pts behind us and they're in 9th. It's crazy tight atm.
Good luck to Iggy on the record tonight, but more importantly...
I am rather surprised Mason is not starting! Especially since he got a shut out last time he played us. Heres hoping Hales not sat tonight, cause tonights the night. The weather network is calling for a severe Hale Storm.
This is true. However, it would suck more if the Wild got the 2 points.
Indeed, personally I find it amusing that some Fans (of other teams) fear the Wild, but I guess that is just because as a Flames Fans we haven't seen that scary Wild team. We're used of handing them their lunch, over and over again.
