OT: Need ideas on what to do with 2 teens (halp!)
My niece and nephew are here this weekend to stay with me for 2 days. I have no clue what to do with them
The only thing I can think of is Laserquest. They're not big fans of museum-stuff.
11 yr old girl and 13 yr old guy. Any ideas? Anything really cool I don't know of they would like?
thanks

Laser Tag is a great idea. My mom works at a middle school, and she said her kids talk about going to Laser Tag all the time. You could take them skating at the Atrium, they may even have a teen skate night on Saturdays with a DJ and stuff (it might be Friday nights, but you could still take them to skate).
Bell Centre tour? Sledding at Mont-Royal (I think you can rent sleds/tubes)? Bowling?

Go to Wanda's
Seriously, just ask them what they enjoy doing. Taking them to do something they don't want will just seem cheesy to them rather than enjoyable.

Well I got one of them hooked on the 360 (nhl08/halo) but staying inside would suck

LaserQuest and Arcade should be a good idea. Maybe go to Cinema and watch the hockey games, it should be enough.

No it's not just you.
"
" was the first thing in my mind too
Of course, you gotta ask them what they like 1st, but it's good to have some ideas beforehand. Sledding and laser tag are great ideas.

Get them to bring their skates, go skating if you have any rinks near you, which I'm sure you do, since you live in Montreal. I heard they have like 1000 outdoor rinks maintained by the city, or something like that? In my town, we have one
Skating, shooting the puck around, laser tag like previously stated.
If they're habs fans then...
1-3:30 - Lasertag
4-7 - Habs game
7:30- 9? Skating/rented movie.
And I thought the samething. I was like "I wouldn't need help, I'd be bragging
)

Not sure where you guys are located or how much you want to spend but when I was younger I used to love going to the recreatheque out in Laval. And they do have Lazer tag and minigolf and skating and lots of other stuff. It really is a LOT of fun.

Well, it IS possible to get their by metro and then bus and ya it may take a bit of time but when you can stay there literally the entire day and still leave with not doing everything it may be worth it. Check the directions on their site, the english page isn't working but the french one is.

I, too, was anticipating
-ness.
If all else fails, I suggest popping in a copy of Uncle Buck and learning from the master.

Take them to see a movie at the Imax at the ScotiaBank Theatre (Paramount).
Reuben's, not too far away, is a great place to eat, so is Mr Steer's.

It's called amusement 2000, or something extremely close to that.
It's on ste. catherine, just west of de la Montagne. I don't even think it's an entire block away from that point.
I live on de la Montagne, and when I walk down my street I can see it.
