At This Moment ...

Before the night games are played and having won our game against the Kings....

We are now #1 in the East. 1 point ahead of the Devils and 4 ahead of Ottawa.
We are #1 in goals scored with 3 more goals than Ottawa at #2
We're a mere 9 points away from #1 overall in the ENTIRE league
We're a mere 2 points away from #2 overall in the ENTIRE league

Whats with this positive thread!!!? Were supposed to be unhappy with going 5-1 in the last 6 and being first in the conference with 4 pt cushion on the division!!

9 points is still a pretty big margin

Quite impressive and almost surreal. This team is very deep when it comes to scoring which means we are never out of a game.

+ we have played 2 games less than Dallas, who is 2nd overall in the NHL atm. Quite impressive.

The Habs are officially a team who has established itself as a elite one on so many aspects and carateristics.Being regarded as a top 5 squad overallwise is a great accomplishment.

I think that will fix itself once guys like O'byrne Gorges and Valentenko have a year under their belt, by that point Weber Subban McDonagh and Fischer should be close to the NHL also.

For next year I wouldn't mind us signing a veteran stay at home guy relatively cheap on a 1 year deal, maybe a Hedican or similar guy.

Lack of depth? Are you joking?

Markov is one of the league's Elite defensemen. Hamrlik is an excellent defensive defenseman. A 1st liner on just about any team.

Komisarek is a bruising force that all the other teams hate to play against. Bouillon is a veteran, Streit is a versitile defensemen who can even score. Dandenault is a very experiance Dman who has excellent hands and skating, good enough to play as a forward. This is a weak defense which lacks depth?

Most teams would kill to have our Defense.
