Nice thread. Very interesting stats. We see the 2 peaks in the "Goals For" graphs are against the Bruins

Thanks man. Beaker, I know there are a lot of sticky threads, but I think this warrants one more than some up there.

I'll link it in the all-purpose sticky.....

That one should reduce the total number of stickies we need...

I think there are already 7 or 8 in there.

As mentioned by others, excellent work statsfreak. Lots to look through there and I look forward to seeing them updated

As a Kostitsyn fan, it's interesting to see that after a certain amount of games in each of their careers, Andrei is well above parise/getzlaf/richards/carter in terms of hits at this stage. Obviously, factors like age, experience and ice time have an effect here, but it is interesting all the same. Not sure people would have expected that a few years ago

Thank you for your good comment Qui, been reading your bulldog review for like a year and I always enjoyed them very much so I guess it's my turn to give back a little.

If any of you got any particular request, let me know and I will do my best to put it up asap.

It could be an interesting comparison to see how our own young players compare since the lockout ended. Outside of Komisarek, I don't think anyone had much if any experience before the lockout so that gives us a more level playing field. They were all developed in the same system too so that is another thing they have in common. For scoring guys like Higgins, Pleks and A.Kost, we saw them start slowly in terms of production before picking it up. It would be interesting to see how they compare. I expect Sergei would have them beat in terms of early production but then things might level out a bit, perhaps?

If you could do a similar job as the A.Kost/Getzlaf/Parise/Richards/Carter section for our own youth, looking at production, hits, +/- or anything else you think would be of interest/use, I'd like to see the results of that. Whether it's only similar types/positions of players or all the youth lumped in together, it would be interesting to see if there are any similarities between them or if anyone who jumps out in specific areas or at specific times. Thanks in advance, statsfreak.

The stats graphs are awesome. Good job. Just maybe one request, if you could order the graphs. For example by games played, points or even point production/games played, Just a simple request, other than that, keep the stats coming lol...

Awesome work! Wow I didn't notice how low Sergei's shot total is, with his shot he definitely shoot more. He has a great shot as we saw on his penalty shot goal on Lundqvist.

Thanks for doing those comparisons so quickly, a few things were as I expected, but there were a few interesting points which stuck out to me:

- goals scored: Lapierre is currently on a similar scoring pace that Plekanec was on after the same number of games. He is reaching the point at which Pleks took off last year though, so it will be interesting to see how close he can stay to Pleks. Probably won't get close, but it is interesting to see that up to this point in their careers, they are very similar. Sergei is in position to eclipse them all, while rarely bothering to even shoot! Impressive He has spent more time on a scoring line early in his career though, but seems to be following a similar path to Lats.

- +/-: generally speaking, the guys on the scoring lines are scoring enough to cover the times they get beaten. The guys with more time on the bottom 6 haven't been able to plug the holes well enough to make up for scoring less. Both Gui and Higgins have had big slumps where this stat took a dive for them. Higgins is slowly pulling that back into line, hopefully Gui can start to follow suit over his next 20-30 games. Still, best not to put too much emphasis on this stat.

- blocked shots: Higgins and Plekanec were pretty much neck and neck on this one. Then suddenly Pleks was blocking much less while Higgins carried on as before. Both are top 6 guys, both get PK time - wonder what changed? Blocking shots is an important part of the game. So is scoring. Looks like Andrei has figured out which one his priority is

Anyone else spot something of interest to them in those graphs?

Wow, amazing, amazing job there. It was really interesting to see how all our rookies developed through the graph. Sergei looks like he's going to beat them all!
