Guys, I can have two great seats for one of the Red Sox games in April.

Basically, same seats, same price, everything the same... now I have to choose either 4/16 or 4/17.

Any reason to go with one or the other ? If there is a rain delay on the 16th, any chance that they play a double header the next day ? I hope I won't get screwed if one game is cancelled.

Thanks for your quick replies. Besides, any chance to guess the pitching matchups for those games ?

It is possible that they will schedule a double header for the next day, but not likely.

In any event, enjoy your stay in the Big Apple (but don't call it the Big Apple, that's for tourists. hehe)

I didn't mention Avenue Q b/c of the language issue. Blue Man Group is awesome!

We're 24, and since she's not completely fluent in English, we'd rather go to a visually entertaining performance.

Do you have any suggestion for us and where to buy the tickets online ?

Thanks

If you choose to stay in LIC, make sure to ask for a room that faces Manhattan.

The view of The City skyline from the outer boroughs and parts of Northern Jersey--especially at night--is quite spectacular.

Similar topic so I thought I'd jump in...

Going to see the Rangers - Devils game Thurs. Been to Manhattan a few years back, but just wanted a good pre-game place to grab a beer & tasty grub close to the arena without paying through the nose.

Any suggestions?

I like Harrington's on 7th Ave, less than a block south of the Garden.

Stout on 33rd between 7th and 6th is great, great food at a reasonable price. Plus it's a great bar. There is seating available however if that's what interests you. All I'll say though is get in there before 5:30, or it's going to be pretty crowded.

+1. Never been to Stout, but Harrington's is usually where I go before big games. Doesn't get too crowded and everyone in the place seems to be a Ranger fan.

Stout is always packed. And I find the food is not all that great.

Hmmm then as a Devils fan perhaps I should try Stout JK.

Thanks for the suggestions all - what about Molly Wee's - is that any good? I like my Irish bars but food is usually a toss up at those places. I had Stout and Harrington's both down as possibles along with that place.

Really, I find their burgers/sandwiches are excellent (especially combined with stout sauce). You're right about it being crowded though, that's why you have to get there at least 2 hours before the game.

Seriously, if he's tight on coin then I 100% understand. If he's financially able, which he probably is, stay in Manhattan for God's sake.

That's where I go before any Garden event. Great place.
