I think Halak should start next game.

NOTHING against Price, hes been great, but its two games in row for him that he's face
35+ shots, and before that he played 3 games in 4 nights, combined with the fact the team has just flown across North America and back.
The first home game after a road trip is usually lacking, I'd like to see if Halak could give us a strong boost and then bring Price right back to face the Sens on Thursday

Kudos to Grabovski, he proved everyone he's a really good talent that we shouldn't waste. Against the toughest team in the league, he didn't look out of place one bit.
Koivu has been playing well getting plenty of points (11 in his last 12 games) Take your whining elsewhere.

this is just a brutal stretch of games. 6 games, 10 days, lots of travel. We will probably look pretty sad against NJ too.

Actually, I would have called him our best offensive player. HM to Grabs and AKost

That's an interesting idea, but Price will still be rested for Tuesday. It will only be his 3rd game in 8 days.

Great game played by the Ducks.Price played really well but got unlucky in the end.Good game by Grabovski and yes Smolinski I find played pretty well and was a huge + in the faceoff circle winning many faceoffs in the 2nd period in our own end sh.

I hope we will be ready for Tuesday

Time to separate Koivu and Higgins,

A. Kost Plekanec Kovalev
Ryder Koivu S. Kost
Higgins Grabs Latendresse

Most of us are more disappointed that a chance to see what this team is made of vs. the defending cup champions was completely tossed out the window by piss-poor officiating.

Did anyone seriously enjoy watching this game?

If Koivu took those 3 penalties you would have crucified him. Kovalev needs to be a lot more disciplined. That stupid hooking call at the end of the 2nd was completly uncalled for and his unsportsmanlike call to ruin our pp was also dumb. Then his penalty to take us off the pp in the 3rd, although we were likely already done.

I'd like those lines but I think Latendresse and Ryder should be switched. As horrible as Lats was the last month or so these last 2 games he has picked up his game and he would at least bring a more physical dimension to that line.

My 1,000th post lol

Boring would be Devils and Ducks in the finals. That would be the ultimate snoozefest. They both play the same boring successful style.

Playing that much time in PK had to be a factor, the team was tired in the end. We missed to much chances shooting in Giguere 50 feet wide chest

I know outside of points you really see nothing but taking 3 penalties helped kill the habs.

Especially since 2 of them killed off valuable pp time for us.

I was quite peeved how it ended because I felt we deserved a better fate, but all in all it's one to grow on. They hung with the defending Cup champs for 2 and 1/2 periods, on their 3rd game in 4 nights and without their best center.

Here's to a big win Tuesday.

Anaheim also ruins the quality of the game with tons of interference and late hits if the refs let them get away with it, they are not the most penalised team for nothing.

I don't get one thing... If Koivu and Higgins look terrible for the first 3 powerplays, why put them out for almost 2 minutes of the 4th? AKost and Grabs were creating stuff all night long. Streit and Higgins are really getting on my nerves lately.

Nope.....reminded me of a Devils/Habs game which I also hate watching. The Ducks are the Devils of the West.Going to be another painful game to watch on Tuesday.....

Which is why I called him our best offensive player, not our best player
