If thats the truth, then the NHL is biased toward 5 teams to be successful:

1. Pittsburgh (was about to lose their Franchise)
2. Anaheim (California team, later won the Cup)
3. Carolina (Southern US team, later won the Cup)
4. Minnesota (Greatest State for US Hockey, owed big time by NHL for losing Franchise)
5. Montreal (Greatest City for Canadian Hockey, drafting highest spot possible since the 80's)

If Montreal, Minnesota or Pittsburgh wins the Cup this year, something is fishy...

Poor Florida. If the 2003-2004 standings had been used they would have picked seventh. Instead, they picked 20th. No NHL love for them!

Pittsburgh was the worst team in the league heading into the lock-out but not by much. Pens finished with 58 points, Chicago and Washington both finished with 59.

I was having a heart attack when it got down to 5 and Montreal's name hadn't been called yet. Soooooo close. Oh well, we got Price! A pretty good steal considering we made the play-offs that year.

He was a big Muller fan, but it doesn't look like an "11" on the jersey.

Looks like a 9.

Someone should photoshop the baby head onto his current frame and expose the brat. No more Jedi mind tricks!

Over/under for how long before a Pens fan comes in and says something about how Crosby LOVES the Pens now and hates the Habs?

I say : stop booing Crosby when he plays at Montréal. Seriously.

Don't make him hate our city.

Who cares boo him if he really wants to come here he will and those boos will turn to cheer so fast it would make your head spin.

Jagr gets booed here but said he would love to play in Toronto or Montreal.

The Pens were my favorite non-Habs Eastern team before they drafted Crosby. Slowly, over the past three seasons, they have become Hated Team #3, behind Toronto and Boston. Cindy is one of the reasons why. I miss Mario.
