First goal wins. Our powerplay hasn't scored in one game. Beware Devils beware.

2-1 Habs

or 3-0 Devils

They haven't, actually - they flew home after the Toronto game and practiced yesterday in Jersey.
Make sence, they would not have been able to make it here on Saturday night..

good luck

Yeah it's hard to be totally upbeat about this one considering all the circumstances...but they keep surprising us don't they.

These next 2 games against the Devils and Sens are huge, not life or death, but huge if the Habs are going to make a serious run for the #1 position in the Eastern Conference.

I look for the Latendresse-Lapierre-Ryder line to be the deciding factor tonight...in one way or another. Either they score a few or they give up a few.
One thing's for sure, Carbonneau has to start giving them more icetime!
5-8 minutes per game is not nearly enough for these guys at this time of the year. The icetime should be more balanced for two simple reasons...
1.The first two lines are being played too much and with the playoffs just around the corner, they require and deserve a much needed rest.
2.Latendresse and Ryder need to find their scoring touch and gain some confidence heading into the playoffs. That's where secondary scoring will become most important as teams will be focusing on the top two lines. One goal from a third or fourth line will most likely be the determining factor in most playoff games this year!
Anyway, I hope Carbonneau employs the right tools to get the guys up for this game. you can be sure that Sutter will have his players ready!

Anyone heard anything about Plekanic? I would hope he's playing, but haven't been able to find anything.

I sure hope the Habs win tonight. Not only it will boost confidence, but the Habs will be at the 1st rank within the EC. Moreover, we will not see some (Gainey, Huet, Halak is better, Fatendresse sucks or Send Smolinski to Hamilton) threads tomorrow

I'm not feeling this game either, to be honest. I think it's going to be a painful, goal-less first period and I guess whoever scores first will finish on top. I just hope it's the Habs.

I think it should be something along the lines of "Man, this Devils game sure aint exciting.... but they're always 1st in they're division for the past 10 years or so and they've been to the SCF 4 times and they won 3 Stanley Cups since the '94-'95"

Now that's a quote

I'm in class until 10....I guess if you have to miss a game it might as well be a Devils game.

Even if we lose tonight, we're .500 against Jersey this year. Thats a big step up from the last couple of years. Last year we were 0-3-1 and I think most of us considered the OTL a "moral victory" of sorts.

Here's my attempt at jinxing Marty (and entertaining my fellow Habs fans):

Hey speak for yourself. For years we played defensive hockey that was coached to us by MONTREAL coaches.

Blame yourselves if you think we're boring.

If the Devils score first it'll be a boring as hell (pun intended) game.

If the Habs score first the Devils will be forced to play "offense" and open up.

I wanna see a big win tonight....these are 2 very important points and we need them. That being said, I can't see us beating the Devils tonight. We beat them the last 2 games, something has to give sooner or later.

My prediction: 3-2 Devils
My wish: 5-2 Habs!!
